Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass; though traditionally Oktoberfest beers are off the tap into a Maßkrug. Amber in color with light head. There seem to be a lot of bubbles. Light aroma. Nothing really distinctive coming through, though I do not expect too much from this style... I still expected something. Taste: Light malt, almost no bitterness or hops favor. Slightly sweet ending. A little too carbonated. Crisp and light. The carbonation drops its drinkability a little. Other than that it is a nice drink, but nothing to search out for.

Shiner Oktoberfest looks and smells right. In fact, the aroma is incredibly rich even with relatively mild carbonation. The taste is all malt with no trace of hop to balance it out. The malt profile is not really much different from their Wild Hare Pale Ale. Overall, an underwhelming example of Oktoberfest.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Golden amber pour building up to a huge white head. Aroma is vague but it includes roasted German malts and a sort of soapiness that I cannot describe in any other way. Light to medium body. The bitterness i far more prominent in the flavor than the nose lets on but otherwise...biscuit malts.

It smells, looks, and tastes like beer. There's nothing fantastic, but it's pretty inoffensive. If I was gonna drink all day, I may choose this, but as an Octoberfest, I'm unimpressed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a nice amber color with off-white head. Caramel malts, roasted malt, and some wheat on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with more malt.

Six pack from the local Harris Teeter supermarket. Pours a golden amber color with a thick off white head. Aroma is lightly malty. Some caramel flavoring to it with a slight dry finish. Needs a bit more malt, but a very good, drinkable beer.
