Kind of disappointed. Normally love shiner brews but this one didnt capture the german oktoberfest taste. Watered down but burnt tasting. Creamy texture on an oktoberfest marzen...since when? Maybe an alt but not a marzen.

At a tasting, thanks Yoav, clear light rusty orange colour, no head, melange of dried fruits - figs, raisins, carobs and a hint of dates, also earthy hint, flavour of strawberry jam, some sour bread, light coarse bitterness. Not good.

12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass.
Clear light amber color with a minimal white head.
Light caramel nose, with some biscuit aromas and floral hops.
Sweetish malt, some caramel, lo-med bitterness, and faint honey.
Medium bodied, pretty balanced, true to style and quite OK.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Yoav. Clear amber. Aroma of malt, caramel, sugary notes and light fruitiness. Sweetish flavor, caramelly, with some fruitiness, slightly candy-ish, and mild bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12floz/355ml bottle into a mug. Served cold.
Aroma: Malty for sure. Almost a little fruity too, like honeydew. Mildly sweet. Kind of yeasty.
Appearance: Clear, amber body with a fluffy, small, white head. Decent lacing.
Taste: Caramel, some sweetness. Barely any bitterness. Just malt, no hop bite. Good stuff.
Palate: Light-medium body, pretty short and malty-sweet finish.
Overall: It’s no Dead Guy or Salvator, but it’s a pretty good Marzen. Approachable for new craft beer drinkers.

From a bottle. Pours clear copper gold with a thin fizzy white head. Tastes like malt, a little bit sweet and nutty, a little bit musky. Low/medium body and carbonation. Not much aroma. Faint malt and musk.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with creamy off-white head. Aroma is biscuit and cereal malts, light toast, light caramel, and some faint raisin. Flavor is pretty boring with some bready malts and a touch of caramel sweetness; dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.
