It was okay. No pumpkin or spicy fall flavors. A little bitey and bitter.

12 oz bottle. (Bavarian Bottle Shop) Helen, GA.
Clear deep golden colour with a tiny white head. Bready malt, bouillon and some mild saltiness in the aroma. Weird. The flavour is dry hops, sweetish malt, cookies and dryness. Malty. Dry.

Had at an open bar at a conference in Texas. I really only drank it for the bottle cap for my collection. It was sweet and sort of watery, but it wasn’t offensive. Not terrible.

Copper color. Sweet, very sweet caramel aroma. Taste is pretty much a sweet caramel malt bomb. Pretty basic and simultaneously sweet and took watery. Eh.

Nice color, great taste... Wish I had more than one in the beer fridge! It's on the get-again list. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light copper in color, thin head, some lacing. Sweet caramel malt up front with a dry finish. A little grassy and floral. It is similar to a pilsner but with more malt and a faint spiciness. Take my Native Texan card if you must, but I am not a big fan of most Shiner offerings. However, this is one of their better ones.

Another Oktoberfest that I had not rated here. Anyways this one is another example of a traditional Oktoberfest but from the others I am doing a comparison with today this one seems to lack a bit. So while still a decent Oktoberfest there are those that are a tad bit better.

Bottle. Pours amber with a nice one finger beige head. Malty aroma with caramel, toast and grains. Flavor of caramel malts, bread, grain and had a touch of spices with a dry finish.

Bottle into a glass. Dark Gold pour Aroma is sweet, vegetal, and soapy. Taste is much the same...like old vegetable soup. Metallic notes throughout. Not at all enjoyable. Terrible example of the style.

Bottle. Dark gold, soapy thin 2 finger head. Aroma is corn and pilsner malt. The taste adds a very small hint of caramel, and toast/crackers. Thin body with medium carb. The finish adds an earthy hop note that lingers on the palate - nice addition for the style. Overall, pretty solid.

Poured from bottle. Aroma of malt and gas. Amber with a bit of head. Toasted malt, caramel and lager hops. High carbonation. Decent.
