Here in Shiner, TX (pop. 2,070), we’re suckers for tradition. Which is why this classic Oktoberfest brew is made with the highest quality two-row barley, Munich and caramel malts, along with German grown Hallertau Tradition and Hersbrucker hops. It’s our way of honoring our ancestors and the beer they loved to celebrate with. So raise your stein to tradition and enjoy this utterly classic brew.

For an American made beer, this truly is an authentic recreation of the Munich Marzen variety. It definitely reminds me of my time in Germany and my visit to Munich. Not much aroma but nice appearance with amber orange color and good lacing. Taste is malty and features the proper German hops. A refreshing, but not very strong, flavor. Flavor could be more bold but overall very enjoyable. Another Shiner success. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

I had it from the bottle. The taste is caramel malt, hay, bread. It’s smooth and drinkable It’s a pretty standard Octoberfest. It’s solid though.

hunch neighbor’s pooch escaped, we let it be, figured he still favors survival, and the old guy was hanging out back when I went to pee. Couldn’t get him over fence but figured out how to open back gate easily. Sort of hushed sounding foam, you’d expect more hype from a beer with a marketing department, but keep it cool, bedroom voices. Balanced and light like a matching sheet and comforter set in a fall breeze. Rich as the middle class of Europe, talking in a cafe in gentile yet pithy tones. Wouldn’t feel bad paying twelve euro for a litre mug of this, because I could drink a few of em, but I bet they wouldn’t even cost that much in Munchen. Good match up with Abita Octoberfest, a little more bitter. Each of these southern fests light and refreshing, made to sell many six packs and spare tires. Grain bill one you find easy to pay. Dryness reminds of a wet dog toweled off and sitting in sun for a while. http://unicornbrewing.com/faq/

Bottle - Pours medium to deep amber, white head. Aroma. ..this was a bit of a letdown as it had a weak nose, but I did get a malt presence and caramel. Better flavor... of roasted sweet malts, caramel, hints of dark fruits, and a mild hops presence and hops linger in the finish.

12 oz bottle. Half glass. Served in clear plastic cup. Thin white head. Beer is a light amber color. Some munich malt character. Light arima. Medium bodied. Average carbonation. Over all an ok Oktoberfest.

Decent. Dark gold. Minimal head that dissipates. Faint malt with some more faint spiciness. It’s ok.

Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of roast malts, caramel, and a touch of spice(nutmeg?). Flavor has a nice smooth sweet roasted taste(honey roast peanuts). A little bitter on the finish.

Bottle from Food Stop Rockville. Hazy amber light body with medium head. Nose is of barley, malts. Taste also malts and some hops and sweet caramel. Creamy texture. Okay.

This one is underrated. Surprisingly rich and sweet, if not entirely authentic for the style. Strong malt backbone and sweet finish.

Orange/gold pour with white head and lace. Aroma is sweet corn and light earthy tones. Flavor is sweet corn domination and some floral notes on the end. A touch of bitter. Just too much corn for me. A slight hinto oxidation as well. Aggressive carbonation and a bit watery at the end. a drinkable beer
