Maybe the best SHINER yet. Too bad you can’t get it ever again. Proud to say I got a few before they were gone.

An excellent addition for the shiner family. Light, yet full of flavor with a slight sweetness. Once, its gone, its gone a great way to start the celebration

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2007 By far the best Shiner I’ve had..the 97 is an o.k. black lager, the 98 is decent..but they stumbled upon a minor masterpiece w/this one a few years back to open their annvrsry line... a sweet, almost spicy maple flavor that was truly original. Here’s hoping they bring this back full-time,it puts the rest of their output to shame

Savory, soy sauce nose. Small head. Lighter body. Clear caramel appearance. Very balanced. Warming, soothing flavor.

(Over a year ago..) What I remember about this beer was its nice aroma and a hint of sweetness, followed by a faint caramel aftertaste. I hope when they hit 100 they bring these back as regular yearly tradition.

Poured a clear, dark golden color. Nice full head. Aroma of some caramel malt some grains. Lite sweetness, lite bitter, Med body, Slightly creamy palate. Ave carbonation. This is very nice oktoberfest beer. Probably one of better ones that i’ve tried. Full flavored for the style. Crisp and nice finish.

Enjoyable beer. Typical color, low carbonation (drinks like a Guinness in that regard), little head retention, even with a sloppy pour. But it makes up with flaws with a full taste, not watery, sweet in the front, not too hoppy in the back. As far as a US beer trying to to be a German Märzen, this did fine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Courtesy of AndrewM <P> Aroma of buttered yams. Light orange color capped by a massive fuffly, white head. Very nice sweet malty profile with a bit of a sweet buttery (again) vegtal mash finish. I rather liked this and am suprised byt he low rating. I think it is a very tasty and distinct Marzen.
