2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Copper color with very little white head. Biscuit malt and slight metallic aroma. Very strange aftertaste - quite thin. Roasted malt with some hops coming through as well. Decent for Shiner but I wonít be drinking it again.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Brownish in color, clear, low off white head. The smell is very malty, some hops, and bread. The taste is like chewing on stale bread, some malts, and hops are pounded in there as well.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from craft beer outlet. Pours an amber color, with aroma of sweetness/caramel, and slightly sweet taste with some caramel notes, and some earthiness as well. Ok.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Mild nutty-malt aroma with light floral hops. Coppery-amber clear with thin head. Light body with high carbonation. Mild flavor, carbonic acidity, dry bitter hop character and a bit of a nutty finish. Fairly neutral in flavor and not much of a alt-tasting altbier.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle pour. Sweet malt, caramel, bready. Thin. Still one of Shinerís better efforts.

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
From a 12oz bottle from Pickís Liquors poured into a Shaker. Light orange or amber color with lots of frothy head leaving good lacing. Aroma is...nothing. I canít smell anything at all. Maybe a slight smell of hops. I taste a slight bitter...and not much else. Light bodied and thin textured, average carbonation and a abrupt finish. Overall, this beer is pretty crappy. It tastes like a thick Bud Light. The only saving factor is that it is really really cheap and would be a good intro to crafts for a non-craft drinker.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
When poured this beer sports a rich amber color with hints of orange. It didnít bolster up a large head, maybe an inch or so but the head stayed with the beer and provided for some nice lacing on the side of the glass. One thing I really enjoyed was the beerís toasted-malt aroma; but at times hints of caramel were also noticed. The flavor of the beer is largely the toasted-malt flavor but again, tastes of caramel were detected. Thereís a nice lingering flavor and the beer is a very drinkable beer. Would I stock up on it? Probably not; but itís not a bad one to have a few on hand!

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
12oz bottle from the shiner family pack. This is my first-ever alt. I didnít know what I was expecting, but this was pretty bad. Perfectly clear amber color, minimal-to-nothing head. Copper-metallic, caramel aroma. Odd-nose smell. Over carbonated, dry texture. Watered-down aroma, but heavy bitter taste. E: "Wood taste."
