COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This small batch brew is the third in our Limited Edition Brewer’s Pride Craft Brew Series. A combination of Citra and US Golding hops gives this refreshing lager its citrus flavor and floral aroma. The brew’s signature tartness comes from the fruit of the prickly pear, a cactus native to our brewery’s landscape that’s hearty, rugged and unmistakably unique - qualities we surely appreciate. Prosit!

Bottle from ABC on Apalachee. Clear copper pour with a huge pillowy head. Highly carbonated. Aroma is muted sour watermelon. Tastes are pear, little floral, kinda watery. It doesn’t taste bad - just not a lot happening.

This is neat at first but then you realize with each swallow what this is. Cobbler flavored beer. Slight blueberry maybe a touch of peach too. If this is really prickly pears flavors from cactus why don’t they make pies from those? Tart hint of sweet cobbler light yellow filtered appearance. Points awarded for clever variety but not what I want to drink.

Bottle. Pours golden amber with a white head. Fruity with melony citrus notes, agave syrup, and low bitterness. Not bad.

pours a dark honey color with a thin white head and a few spots of lacing. sweet, fruity aroma like a sour ale. taste is mild with notes of fruit and pale malt. finish is lackluster. an inoffensive and nice tasting beer that does little to arouse the senses overall.

Pours clear bronze yellow with a white head that settles to half a finger. Aroma is pear fruit and skunk-malt. Taste is slightly floral with mild pear-berry fruit flavor that comes out as the beer warms. Breadt malt with some noble hop finish. Flavors are somewhat thin. Moderate carbonation. One of the better Shiner offerings that I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Needs to make the rotation at shiner. One of the best craft brews they have put out.

Bottled. Orangey pour. Smelled like minute maid fruit punch. Similar taste. Kind of mehhh.

Pours a dark clear amber, not much head. Malty aroma has fruity overtone - definitely the prickly pear fruit. Flavor fruity, a little sweet, malty undertone. Tingly texture a bit thin. Overall, not too shabby.

12 oz bottle This was a gift from my son while we were at Hickory Nuts at Holden Beach. The beer poured with afoamy head and lacing down the glass. The aroma was of fruit punch. This was not a rugged beer but not unpleasant. The taste was of fruit punch and malt. The medium body beer had average carbonation.

Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma has some fruity prickly pear and grape notes, as well as some biscuit malt. The flavor is similar. I get some strong fruity notes up front. There is some cactus as well as some grape, vanilla and a hint of strawberry. There is also some nice biscuit malt and a hint of sweetness. Tastes a bit artificial, but other than that I kind of like this one. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
