COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This small batch brew is the third in our Limited Edition Brewer’s Pride Craft Brew Series. A combination of Citra and US Golding hops gives this refreshing lager its citrus flavor and floral aroma. The brew’s signature tartness comes from the fruit of the prickly pear, a cactus native to our brewery’s landscape that’s hearty, rugged and unmistakably unique - qualities we surely appreciate. Prosit!

I'm not really a fan of fruit beers, and this one doesn't encourage me to reconsider. Interesting but not exactly appetizing sweet aroma. Decent amber appearance. Taste is dominated by the "prickly pear" cactus flavor. Maybe a little floral hoppiness in the background. Seems a little flat and watery, might just be this particular batch. Unpleasant sour aftertaste. Overall, interesting but not something I would go out of my way to try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Interesting fruit beer light flavors and a nice over all drinkablility. Could use more malt and fruit backing to amke this a truly awesome beer.

Points for brewing wit hthis odd ingredient, although aroma is a bit off-putting. Taste is sweet, but flat and dry. Saving grace is this beer’s beautiful look, light, lcear amber with nice fluffy head. Not sure about the taste of the prickly pear however....

Bottle; copper, dark gold color with a frothy whitish head. Aroma of citrus, prickly pear?, and wheat. Pretty vibrant aroma. Flavor was a bit strange; pear, a touch watery and wheaty. Aroma was better, but not much.

Sample 11/5/13 (Whole Foods-Lamar)-Pours a clear medium golden with a small white head. Aroma of sweetness and pear. Taste of sweetness. This light bodied brew is too sweet.

Pours with a long lasting off white head.. the brew itself is fizzy orange. Nose shows bright/up-front watermelon and pink bubblegum... I guess this is the prickly pear!! Flavor shows the same decent fruitiness but a bigger pale malt/wheaty element helps push but mutes the fruits. Light fizzy carbonation on a light bodied beer.... Okay... I would drink this again.. I guess.
