COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This small batch brew is the third in our Limited Edition Brewer’s Pride Craft Brew Series. A combination of Citra and US Golding hops gives this refreshing lager its citrus flavor and floral aroma. The brew’s signature tartness comes from the fruit of the prickly pear, a cactus native to our brewery’s landscape that’s hearty, rugged and unmistakably unique - qualities we surely appreciate. Prosit!

This one was kinda hard to rate. Good overall brew, nice amber color, nice taste. At the backend was like a citrus, though I’m really not sure, finish. I like it now but if I want more to try it again or then again it might be a favorite. Really confused on this.... :)

What an unusual beer, and some interesting character. The prickly pear was hard to describe, and possibly hard to separate from the Citra hops, but its not clear the hops contributed much. The fruit was a combination of some sour citrus (lemon, grapefruit juice), something vaguely tropical (pineapple, guava), and something vaguely related to apple (green apple, pear), and something else altogether different. It featured prominently in the nose and flavor, and contributed a light sweet and sour component that blended well with a fair if unremarkable base beer that was light amber malted.

Dark brown very clear pour. Little head and no lacing. Citrusy and malty aroma. The prickly pear flavor is very interesting and not over powering. German style malt backbone. Not bad. ---Rated via iPhone

Clear light amber with small light brown foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is sweet pear, taste is quite unique. Bitter and sweet pear are fighting to win. Short aftertaste. (Velp 201301)

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity slightly sweetish pear aroma. Sweetish malty fruity pear flavor. Has a sweetish malty fruity spicy pear finish.

12oz bottle, I’m guessing most people got this beer from the "family reunion" pack. Copper color, clear, laced, good stable head. Smells sort of cheap and sour, very simple. Taste and palate isn’t bad, it’s slightly bitter, with a sour-ish aftertaste. Actually one of their better ones.

Auburn colored and clear, head was about a finger and lace is so-so. Aroma is that of grape soda, sweet and fruity. Flavor is a bit more complex, fruity and sweet, herbal, and I suppose.... cactus. Body is light and well carbonated, with an almost dry finish. It’s interesting, if not the brewery’s best effort. Not bad.
