3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Auburn colored and clear, head was about a finger and lace is so-so.
Aroma is that of grape soda, sweet and fruity.
Flavor is a bit more complex, fruity and sweet, herbal, and I suppose.... cactus.
Body is light and well carbonated, with an almost dry finish.
It’s interesting, if not the brewery’s best effort. Not bad.

The first few sips had some interesting fruity tastes, but like most Shiner beers still has a watery feel to it. After a few sips, the initial taste fades and it tastes more and more watery. Overall, an okay beer. The flavor combination is good, but Shiner needs to add some body to their beers.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 12 oz bottle - part of their "Family Reunion" six pack. Pours a sparkling medium copper with a tight off-white head that leaves just a hint of lacing. Aroma is sweet and reminds me of watermelon flavored Now-or-Laters candy. Flavor has some pleasant fruity accents with hints of guava and blueberries. Back end has a touch of vanilla. Mouthfeel is thick enough. A pleasant to diversion to get me through my Christmas gift wrapping.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden yellow with a nice white top that lasted throughout. Taste of pear, cactus, and other fruits. Medium body, medium carbonation. Wow a good brew from Shiner, that’s a rarity!

Lightly sweet prickly pear taste on the front. Gives way quickly to a very mild malt. Inoffensive and easy drinking.

Sweet, fruity, pop tart aroma - notes of cooked strawberries. Deep, clear bronze, thin white head, OK label, standard US longneck. Reminds me of breakfast toast - buttery, jammy (sweet and sour), a little salty, toasted. A light but noticable bittering. Medium body. Interesting, possbile session beer. ABC Liquors, Bull Run. Snitched from a mixpack of other stuff I’d already had.

Bottle->SA. Light amber with decent head. Aroma is very fruity, mostly berries. Taste: sweet fruit and citrus. Dry. Slight bitter aftertaste. Eh.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a decent amber with a nose of peachy strawberry and light floral grapefruit with a tinge of autumn leaves. Flavor is a peachy blast of floral sweetness, followed by a light syrup of crunchy leaves and strawberry glaze. Decent mouthfeel. I like this; refreshing, clean, and simple. Doesn’t try to be something it’s not.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of yeast as well as fragrant fruit. Flavor doesn’t have as much of fruitiness as the aroma but does have some caramel malts coming through. Overall not a bad offering but nothing too special.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A golden color with a white head. The aroma contains some apricots, oranges, and mango?. A floral presence fo real. The flavor is a bit odd with some citrus and I dunno herbal notes going on. Perhaps I’m just not verse enough in the prickly pear to properly get all the flavors down. But overall its an ok hot weather beer, kind of fruity and thin like maybe Andy Dick.
