This small batch brew is the third in our Limited Edition Brewer’s Pride Craft Brew Series. A combination of Citra and US Golding hops gives this refreshing lager its citrus flavor and floral aroma. The brew’s signature tartness comes from the fruit of the prickly pear, a cactus native to our brewery’s landscape that’s hearty, rugged and unmistakably unique - qualities we surely appreciate. Prosit!

12 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Nose is very sweet and pear-dominated -- smelling a bit artificial. Flavour is quite artificial, with fairly sweet pears, some citrus, and floral notes. Not offensive, but really weak and somewhat artificial. Not good.

Bottle - Green apple candy. Clear gold with a decent white head. Less sweet candy green apple. Is what it is.

Pours an amber color. Clear. About a one finger head. Lacing, nope!

Smells amazing! Very sweet, very fruity. Smells like a wine cooler

Am I drinking the same beer? The taste falls far short of the aroma of this thing. Taste is fruity. It is watery. I don’t taste a whole lot but the sweetness of it. I’m sad. I expected so much from this beer.

Mouthfeel, I guess it’s a carry over from the taste. it’s not so good. It’s very drinkable yes, but it’s just not desirable. It has a bitterness deep in the throat. I could call it prickly.

Overall, I’m going with the aroma at the start. It’s not great other than the aroma. It’s decent. I wouldn’t drink it again. It’s not one I would want to show off with friends.

I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours a light amber with a white head and lacing. The aroma is fruit. The taste is tart pear and grain. The mouth feel is carbonated, crisp, and dry. This is a pretty good summer beer.

Pours clear amber with a medium beige head, low retention. Fruity prickly pear aroma with notes of caramel, biscuit, and grass. Light body, smooth, good carbonation. Medium sweet, lightly tart, light bitter finish. Almost too sweet, but light enough that it goes down pretty easy.

12oz screw top cap bottle pours with a clear amber to copper body that supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up sugary berry fruitiness, a cream soda sensation and then maybe 7up soda. Hmm. The taste is all berry sugary sweetness that’s all too much table sugar. Behind that it gets into mild earthy sort of fruity tartness that helps break up all the sugary notes and adds some interest to an experience that was lacking. Well. I may need to be in the mood for a sweet berry brew like this.

Bottle to glass. Great aroma. Grape, wine, pear. Taste is less intense, aftertaste of baking soda. Still a good refreshing summer option. Very Southwest.

I'm new to Texas and had to try this brew. It was a nice surprise, light, low alcohol content, however great with vegetables. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
