This small batch brew is the third in our Limited Edition Brewer’s Pride Craft Brew Series. A combination of Citra and US Golding hops gives this refreshing lager its citrus flavor and floral aroma. The brew’s signature tartness comes from the fruit of the prickly pear, a cactus native to our brewery’s landscape that’s hearty, rugged and unmistakably unique - qualities we surely appreciate. Prosit!

Dark brown very clear pour. Little head and no lacing. Citrusy and malty aroma. The prickly pear flavor is very interesting and not over powering. German style malt backbone. Not bad. ---Rated via iPhone

Nice fruity berry nose with a little tart fruity twang. Smooth and crisp with a pleasant fruity touch, slight berry tartness, crisp blondish finish, nice fruity berry tones throughout without being cloy. Surprisingly good.

12 oz bottle. Clear copper in color with some spotty white head. Aroma is light fruits (grapes and berries) Some sugar. Almost like a Kool- Aid berry flavor from the 1980’s.

The pear and grapes come through in the flavor. This beer is mildly sugary with the body and texture on the thin / watery side. The carbonation is a bit too high and it really reminds me of what a carbonated Kool -Aid would taste like. Is this even beer? A pear cider? It’s not awful but I’m not ever going to drink it again.

Raspberry, perfeumey nose, some melon rind. Clear copper, thin head. Drier than expected, malt prominent. Raspberry at midpalate and beyond. Light body, moderate carbonation. Eh, it’s a fruit beer, kind of artificial tasting.

Pours a clear light golden color with white head. Pear, light fruit on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with light fruit flavors. Sweet.

Pours clear amber color with a 2-finger off-white head. Sweet, fruity aroma that I assume is the cactus, with a citrus hops note underneath. Body is a bit lighter than medium, a touch watery. Finish is brief and lightly dry. Juicy, sweet fruit flavor with a touch of acidity giving some sourness. Earthy yeast at the back, with some citrus peel.

Bottle. Drank from a bottle. Aroma was a nasty fruity smell that was not appealing. Taste was even worse. Not a very good beer.

Bottle. Copper with white head. Fruity candy sweetness, lightly tart. Thinnish mouthfeel and prickly carb. Tasty but a little too sweet.

Bottle. Pours a clear orangish gold body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is super fruity and sweet, it smells more like candy than it does beer. The flavor is just as sweet as the aroma suggested, not sure what a prickly pear tastes like, but they must be sweet as all get out. Very one dimensional and boring stuff. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation and a lingering grainy finish. Wouldn’t give this one another try.

refreshing, a very nice fruit beer that is very clean and does have the flavor of the somewhat illusive fruit.

Pours gold into a shaker. Off-white head with good retention craters as it recedes. Fruity, tart prickly pear aromas. Mild, tart fruit upfront turning to marshmallow in the medium length finish. Tastes like a white Smartie.... and I never know what thats supposed to taste like. My favorite that I have tried from Shiner.
