COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This small batch brew is the third in our Limited Edition Brewer’s Pride Craft Brew Series. A combination of Citra and US Golding hops gives this refreshing lager its citrus flavor and floral aroma. The brew’s signature tartness comes from the fruit of the prickly pear, a cactus native to our brewery’s landscape that’s hearty, rugged and unmistakably unique - qualities we surely appreciate. Prosit!

This one was kinda hard to rate. Good overall brew, nice amber color, nice taste. At the backend was like a citrus, though I’m really not sure, finish. I like it now but if I want more to try it again or then again it might be a favorite. Really confused on this.... :)

Light amber with a medium head and a candy-sweet, faint pear, floral nose. Lightly-carbonated with a watery mouthfeel followed by a slight pear, melon finish.

Pours amber with a white head. Palate is sweet with hop bitterness - all light. Vewgetable taste.

Clear amber with a fairly long-lasting off-white head. Aroma of sweet fruit, grain, citrus, marshmallows...? Taste is fruity, semi-sweet, very slightly bitter, and grainy; kind of dull, but fortunately not nearly so sweet as the smell portends. Light bodied, a little bit dry.

Transfer from BA review on 10-17-12- Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a lighter copper / deep amber color. Upon pouring there is a two finger white head. The head fades over a moderate amount of time to leave a decent level of lacing. Smell -The smell is very sweet and can be detected from the pour, well before bringing my nose to the glass. In the aroma are huge smells of lighter (in color) fruit aromas with big peach, pear, berry (raspberry and strawberry), kiwi, as well as some citrus. There is also a prickly pear aroma that comes through with the rest. Overall its smell is massive of sweet and smells heavily of candy; it is tasty, but rather strange for a brew. Taste - The taste begins with a lighter bready flavor and a good dose of pear, peach and berry. These taste remains relativity constant, except for an increasing prickly pear and kiwi flavor that continually grow stronger as the taste advances further on. In the end a sweet fruity flavor is left on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the lighter side while the carbonation level is on the higher side. For the sweeter flavors the body and carbonation are both very fitting for the brew and make it easy drinking and more refreshing (lemonade refreshing as opposed to cold water refreshing). Overall – It was sweet and had some nice flavors, although for me it was a bit too fruity. It would likely be nice on a warmer day when looking for something sweet as well as refreshing.

On tap at the bocktown during a thunderstorm. Darker yellow beer. Snell is sweet pleasant fruity perfume, just makes yer mouth water. Yes, olfactory is like candy and not at all volatile on the the nose. Thin head. Decent co2. On the first taste I’m left wondering why the taste is a little disappointing, ...... compared to the smell that is. The taste is easy going, now that I think about it. Pretty well behaved. One of the better beers I’ve had today. Not bad overall. Yes, was pleasantly happy with the whole experience.

Another bottle from the mixed-sixer. Pours out a thin light yellow. Little to no head. Fruity aromas and flavor. Thin body. Not much to cheer about here. Not my thing at all.

Bottle to pint glass. Was really stoked to try this but was let down. Pour is a nice amber with a big white head that recedes quickly. Aroma is awesome. Sweet fruit and citrus with a malt backbone. The taste is where this falls down. Just not very well balanced. Not enough sweet or not enough sour just kinda meh. Finish is big time carbonation. Worth a glass but not a bomber. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

24 (!) oz bottle pours deep brown-amber with unusually coarse carbonation. Head is fairly short-lived. Aroma: fruity and floral, with some earthy/herbal hop notes. Flavor: Unusua fuity flavor with some tartness, presumably from the fruit of the prickly pear cactus. O: refreshing, unique and flavorful. Well worth trying.
