2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 jrodooo5 (500) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - MAY 2, 2013
Ginger! Not al all what I was expecting. A pretty nice ginger aroma and a boring flat light copper without a head or lacing. Taste is completely dominated by the ginger. A 1 trick pony that isn’t all that good. Blah
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 alcaponejunior (349) - Texas, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Somewhat of an orange-ish tan color, clear, not a lot of head or lacing.
Aroma is pleasant, you can definitely smell the ginger. The grapefruit is less pronounced, but it’s probably there in what I would describe as more of a citrusy note. There’s a light background of malts as well.
The taste follows the smell pretty nicely. Plenty of ginger, especially on the finish. Citrus notes all the way. Malts are basic but ample. There’s not a lot of hops.
Body is light and refreshing, and despite the lackluster appearance, it’s amply carbonated.
It’s a very pleasant and enjoyable beer. I wouldn’t mind having a few of these while messing around in the shed in the back yard on a summer day.

12 oz bottle pours an amber color with a small white head head. Aromas of ginger and grapefruit dominate. Light bodied, a decent fruit beet
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 pablo951 (150) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 22, 2013
Had it out of a 12oz bottle, poured a beutiful reddish amber hue with a light head that disapated fast. It has a macro malt taste with a fruity antisptic aftertaste.
1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 wildbeercat (120) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - APR 21, 2013
12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into a pint glass. Served cold.
Aroma: Sugary grapefruit, a little banana, some tangerine. Smells like candy. No real hop or malt presence on the aroma. Not offensive though.
Appearance: Transparent amber with a white, soda-like head.
Taste: Sweet grapefruit soda. Acidic at first. Ends on some sweet bready malt. It’s really like grapefruit soda with some week beer flavor tacked on as an afterthought. Disappointed.
Palate: Thin, watery, fizzy. Not satisfying.
Overall: Disappointing beer. Borders on malternative.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 TomTron (296) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - APR 20, 2013
Aromas of the grapefruit and ginger but the taste is lacking what the label says. Basically comes off as a crisp lager that has some artificial fruit backing it, but nothing more than a beer to pound when you’re mowing the lawn.

clear amber, fizzy soda-like head with no retention. lemon, cereal, ginger, grapefruit, all very artificial. light sour, light sweet. light body, thin feel, fizzy. like an alcoholic soda
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 Pailhead (3859) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - APR 14, 2013
Bottle: The aroma consists of sweet citrus, ginger, orange peel, light lemon, and grapefruit. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a one finger off-white head that quickly settles to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus. Ginger comes into play in the middle and lingers into the finish where it mixes with some lemon and light grapefruit. The lemon flavors come across as cleaner-like at times. It’s light bodied with light carbonation and a somewhat thin mouthfeel. Overall, this one isn’t working for me. It comes across like a strange beer/ginger ale/lemonade mixture. Also, the artificial lemon cleaner flavors are very off putting.

On tap at Global Brew. Pours a pale reddish golden with a so-so white head. Aroma, believe it or not, is like milk. Taste is sweet pale malt and a nice, not overdone sourness. Quite simple, but an enjoyable warm weather thirstquencher.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Dogbrick (6058) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 10, 2013
This beer pours a clear yellowish-amber color with a medium off-white head that fizzes away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Fruity aroma with some malt in the background. Light-bodied with flavors of citrus, sweet spice and malt. The finish is akin to a grapefruit-spiked ginger ale. Average all around.
