Bottled: unk Got real excited for this, I love grapefruit raddlers, maybe this can be my summer 2013 beer?! Pours a copper ale with brilliant clarity and no foam. Smells like sugar, some grapefruit (way too sweet), some pear and a little english malt. Pretty unimpressed so far. Tastes like a hot dog with some artificial sweetener and a little grapefruit - horrible. Thin with moderate carb and an off dry finish. That is a shitty beer.

Bottle pour of a light amber with I head but a ton of champaign bubbles. Aroma of a grapefruit soda with all the carbonation still bubbling up that dissipates quickly. Taste of that same light grapefruit with a light sweet malt but no real citrus hops to speak of. Feels like a sparkling water, which is kind of fun, but there is no finish taste to speak of. A beer that disappears from my mind as quickly as it's taste did ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a light amber with pink undertones. Very little head. The smells are of grains and grapefruit, but not like the grapefruit you sometimes get in an IPA. The taste starts with a citric grapefruit flavor backed by a strong grain flavor. No hops to speak of. Mouth feel is thin/light with a medium amount of carbonation. Definitely not a beer I will buy again and honestly something I might pass on so I can drink one of those "Macro American Lagers". That said I do know people that like this beer. Thank goodness for different tastes.

FROM NOTES: July 1, ’12 A: Holy grapefruit, Batman! A: Pours a dark golden brown with a small white head that dissipates almost immediately with no lacing. T: Grapefruit juice in water. P: Light body, nice carbonation, thin and watery. O: As a Texas Ex, I cut my teeth on Shiner products, but once was PLENTY for this grapefruit beer.

Nice amber color, no head. Weird. Looks like iced tea. Aroma is clearly ginger and candy, but it’s not overpowering. Sublte. Taste is clean and refreshing. Smooth drinking and clean palate.

12oz can. Filtered orange body, thin soda head. Ginger, grapefruit aroma, more ginger than I would have guessed. Light to medium bodied, easy on the palate, refreshing. Leans heavily into the flavoring, but has some faint beer characteristics still. OK, not a bad beverage, but not a great beer.

Is this a beer or a beer-type-drink. Fun to drink. Would love to pound this on the beach like it was a Bud Light Lime. Sorry Texas, this is my first rate of your state. Pours pale amber with a quickly dissipating head that is more akin to Coke (hey we in the South) than beer. Scent is all ginger. Taste is fruity ginger ale. Thin and bubbly like the aforementioned. Fun, but not really a beer to me. Bottle - Housewarming Gift from Skip

12oz bottle...lots of grapefruit and ginger in a fizzy and refreshing summer beer. Not an outstanding beer by any means, but decent enough on a sunny day.
