2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
16 oz. at Global Brew. Ordered before I knew what it was. This was golden copper in color with not a lot of head. A herbal aroma that is not big but has some grapefruit. The flavor was not big, either. There is fruit that is probably grapefruit but isnít far from apples. It is not particularly tart and has fruit sweetness. It is akin to a cider and would make a delightful lawnmower beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours clear, golden with big head from bottle. This is all grapefruit (not by hops) pulp, light candied ginger, and some lemon tea. Ginger is more spicy and prominenet in the nose, while the flavor is quite muted and watered down. Amp this up some, and you have a much better brew.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours golden with a fizzy head that just disappears without a trace. Smells of sweet candy grapefruit and biscuits. Medium nectar with ample carbonation. Tastes like it smells. Exceptional bittering on the finish with some acidic tingling.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft. Pours a pink/orange amber with a small, quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is heavy on the ginger, with a bit of citrus and malt. Flavor is heavier on the grapefruit. Tastes like the real thing, not artificial. And itís not quite as odd as I thought it would be. The malt sweetness backs it up pretty well, producing a mildly sweet/tart, refreshing brew. Light body.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pour is a clear yellow with a large white head. Aroms is citrus and ginger. Flavor is super sour grapefruit. If you do not like grapefruit juice you will not like this. Weird and I wonít want another sample of this.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2011 12 ounce bottle - $1.49 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours out a golden-orange body, quite clear, and with a bubbly white head that was gone in the time it took to yell at Meemo the cat for clawing up the poor, defenseless carpet. That idiot.
Smell: Ginger. Ginger. Ginger. Ginger. Ginger. Grapefruit. Itís like a game of "Duck, Duck, Goose" where every so often youíll pick up a hint of grapefruit and then can jump and run around the room waving your arms and hollering about.
Taste: The malts and hops really take a backseat here to the ginger, if theyíre even in the car at all, though there is a very small hint of basic grains. As my tongue develops an eventually immunity to the heavy ginger, I can pick up some of that grapefruit character with some tinges of tartness and citric acidity to it. Thatís about all there is to it.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Lightly carbonated.
Overall: Maybe the ladies will like it. I was considering waking up the girlfriend for a sniff and taste (of the beer, you horrible monsters), but I can already hear the "you woke me up to try some goofy beer?!" rant, so Iíll bypass that headache. Me, I was not a fan of this, but I didnít get too angry about it. Thatíd be like getting angry at a can of Vernors.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Copper colored with no lingering head at all. The aroma is sweet and fruity, a little malt present. The flavor is malty and the grapefruit is definitely prevalent. I donít get much of the ginger, just the lingering sourness of the grapefruit. An interesting mix, but not as good as I thought it might be going into it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A red tinged orange in the glass with essentially no head. Strong aroma of citrus and ginger. Grapefruit and a ton of ginger flavor. Interesting, could be good for one in the summertime but it gets a little one-dimensional after awhile.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Thus beer pours a burnt Orange with a thin white head. The aromas are mixed fruit and bread. The mouthfeel is watery and slightly bitter with a light body. Thus was not a good beer. Cheers!

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Tylerís, Durham. Thanks for the taste, Jenny! Look: the glass says "The Perfect Summer Beer." Is it churlish to disagree? Hazy golden pour with - and I might be imagining this - pinkish hues. Crisp and lively looking body. Nose is very heavy on the ginger, giving me bad flashbacks to Craggie Assebellum. Some soft citrus and yeast in there too, so why not? Taste is more refreshing than I thought, perhaps largely because the grapefruit takes the lead over the ginger.
