On tap in an English pint glass. Light aroma of grapefruit. Pours a deep golden color with a white fluffy head that fades fast with no lacing. Grapefruit and ginger dominate the flavor but not overpowering. Average carbonation that leaves the palate cleanly. Very sessionable beer, great for summer and even better to float the river with (but only if its in the can!).

An alright beer, but I donít think that grapefruit and ginger mix very well. The ginger seems to over power the grapefruit so quickly that any harmony is disrupted. With that being said, it is refreshing and not offensive by any means.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy bright orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of slightly tart grapefruit, lemon, lime, ginger, pear, cracker, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of grapefruit juice, ginger, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of slightly tart grapefruit, lemon, lime, ginger, pear, cracker, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Slight herbal spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon, lime, ginger, pear, cracker, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a very short bit. Good balance and solid robustness of grapefruit juice, ginger, and pale malt flavors; with a good malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness after the finish as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium boded; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish after the finish as expected of 4%. Overall this is a good spiced blonde ale style. All around good balance and solid robustness of grapefruit juice, ginger, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Mom picked up a variety case while visiting my Uncle in Texas. This is the best so far. A summer brew with a hint of grapefruit and ginger. Kinda tastes like a Ruby Red Squirt, just a beer instead of pop. Kinda odd, but drinkable.

Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a mostly transparent golden orange with thin white head that dissipates into thin lacing pretty quickly. Smells of an odd but inoffensive blend of lager yeast, ginger, and mild grapefruit. Tastes like it smells with a slightly tart light to medium light-bodied mouthfeel. Not bad, but not good either.

Aroma of a gingerbeer shandy with a hint of grapefruit. Pours a reddish orange with no head and minimal carbonation. Tastes like a gingerbeer shandy with a medium to light body and a chalky aftertaste.

Light copper, highly carbonated but no head. Tastes like Shiner Blonde with a spritz of grapefruit juice. I find it to be a bit offputting, but then again, I never like fruit beers.

Appearance: light orange-pink-yellow, a few bubbles but otherwise no head. Aroma: grapefruit, light cereal grains, some floral honey. Taste: crisp lager with a grapefruit injection, and under that a thread of spice. Finish: clean, but with a bit of lingering ginger heat. Notes: Actually found this pretty enjoyable. Itís no great shakes, but itís unique, easy-drinking, and has a decent character to it. Draft at Hill Country BBQ in Washington, DC.

Gotta give em points on this for brewing a unique beer. Still not great. The grapefruit and especially ginger are barely there, but it is refreshing. Crisp but weak mouth, still.
