My second favorite Shiner beer, next to the FM 1966 Farmhouse Ale. However, with the added ginger and grapefruit, itís really refreshing hot summer day dark beer. Love it!

I really enjoyed this brew. That being said, I also really like fruit/wheat beers as well. Very nice complex character of grapefruit and ginger with this one.Not overly sweet either. So good on a hot summer day. This was my go to beer for summer 2011. Also, very reasonably priced at around 5 to 6 dollars for a sixer where Iím from. Great brew, Iíll definitely buy it again next summer.

Great taste, and wonderful aroma of grapefruit. I was suprised when tasting this for the first time. A mist on warm summer nights.

Tasty citrus brew sold seasonally. Not too hard to find compared to most other Shiner brews. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a great beer if you want a summer taste. I will be buying some and bringing it home to Chicago, as I bought this in Houston!

I really loved the grapefruit and ginger flavor in this beer. It is a special beer that gets better the more you drink it.

Orange hued cloudy brew, the head disappeared totally to a placid surface with a faint amount of carbonation coming up the glass. Smells a lot better than it looks. Sweet tangerine and yes grapefruit smells highlight this fruity aroma with honey. Hops are not part of the aroma profile, its extraordinarily fruity. The taste has the bitter or sourness of grapefruit instead of the sweetness of other popular citrus . There is a spice coming out beside the grapefruit likely the ginger listed on the label; whatever it is, it works excellently. With the light quenching palate this is one of the most interesting, offbeat and great tasting summer lagers Iíve encountered.

It is as good as it gets in the right environment. It is perfect for the Texas heat in summer. I can't imagine having this in winter but that's why it's a seasonal. You get a big blast of grapefruit but the finish is ginger on the scale of a ginger beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
