$3 bottle, served at Standard Market. I’d put this one down as a good summer shandy. Under the cap, I get just a whiff of grapefruit that could’ve come from the hop bill of some American Pale Ale (I had a taster of Sixpoint Resin for comparision, but they’re nothing a like). Beer is slightly muddy brown complexion, but pretty cleanly filtered. Grapefruit taste is a bit stronger,. Mild beer base makes this more like a shandy, letting the slight tartness stand out. Still, by blending with a fruit that’s similar to certain hop profiles, we get something better than the standard lemonade-weakened shandy.

Another fruit beer that falls short in flavor and freshness. The ginger kick doesn’t add anything and frankly is annoying.

Pours amber with a thin head. Smells very pronounced of grapefruit and ginger. Tastes of grapefruit and ginger. Watery. I gave this a high rating because I LOVE grapefruit and go through about a gallon every two weeks. Beer plus the fruit you adore? Count me in!

A nice ginger beer aroma. Amber pour. Thin head. It’s alright and not the most well rounded ginger beer. Dry finish. It could have used a lot more flavor all around.

12oz bottle to tulip. Pours clear gold, no head. Aroma of Squirt soda. Taste of same. Could’ve fooled me with a can of Squirt. Light body, heavy carb....just like Squirt soda.

12 ounce can. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. A light fruity nose. Fresh grapefruit, some light sweet malts, light ginger ale. Highly carbonated. Not bad. I’d drink this on a hot day near the Rio Grande.
