12oz bottle pours clear deep gold with copper hues and meek white head. The modest aroma puts out sweet sugary malts, some graininess, a touch of spicy hops and pork like smokiness. The taste has quick notes of lageriness, noble hops and vague sugary sweetness that got swallowed up by moderate smokiness. The smoke is mostly smoked bacon and charred wood and lacks any crazy campfire or bacon grease essence hugely smoked beers can have. It dries out a bit into the finish. Pretty approachable smoked brew.

Golden beer out of the bottle with a foamy off white head. Wet smoke nose. Tastes like bad beer with some fake smoke added. I like smoke beers but I’m not a fan of this one.

smells like BBQ sauce, which is pretty cool. Body seemed a bit thin. Taste is a bit of smoked malts with a hint of some form of BBQ sauce. Nice that its different, but not that super.

Bottle, clear golden yellow color with a small, firm white head. Aroma of smoke and cereal grains. Smoky flavor with a bit of grain and not much of a finish. Lot of carbonation and very light on the palate. Pretty uneventful, not one of my favorites.

bottle at Ft Wayne tasting - This brew has a mild smoke aroma. The flavor is of mild, sweet malt and of course smoke. It’s bubbly on the palate and utterly bland and underwhelming.

Thanks to Exiled for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a yellow color with a slight orange tint and a white head. The aroma is biscuit malt and quite a bit of smoke. The flavor is a lot of biscuit and bready malt, but there is a strong meaty BBQ smoke flavor in there as well. Light mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
Not a great drinking beer, but this has enough smoke that it works great when cooking. Add it to the broth in a slow cooker and it imparts great flavor to the meat.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden light orange color. The head was white and reduced quickly to a thin film. Subdued smoky aroma with a hint of cereal grain. Light bodied and dry. The smoke flavor was not overpowering, but dominated the pale malt and any hops that might have been in there. Not bad.
