1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Almost no aroma, maybe a tiny hint of malt. Color is about as white of a yellow as possible.Very little of anything in the flavor, almost like carbonated water. Not unpleasant but not any presence. Iíd use this beer much as I would a tonic water, mix it was something.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours like cheap sparkling wine white, thin sudsy head with a champagne colored body. Has about as much flavor as tonic water, completely non-offensive. It gets a 2 because 1ís are reserved for foul tastes. Light sparkly palate, easy to gulp down. POINTLESS!

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
This is the clearest palest beer I have seen. Yikes! Smell is sweet and doughy and not very inticing. Flavor is light and sweet dough with such a high carbonation it almost seems tart. The mouthfeel is so bubbly - it is hard to drink. Actually has some flavor - but just a preferred style of mine but I can see that this is drinkable.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Extremely pale yellow, and very clear. Fizzy, extremely short lived head. Smell is thin pale lager like, faintly corn-y malt. Taste is kind of corn like, with a strange unpleasant twang to it. Not particularly clean and with a metallic note to it. Prickly carbonation. Very thin and watery flavorwise with a hint of funky corn and metal. Not great, but still drinkable.

Crystal clear pale gold with little head. Perfume aroma. Watery palate with a slightly dirty finish. Nice label.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: MAY 4, 2008 Please Shiner Texas... tell me why... why is this necessary? If the town hall agreed that the original shiner light was ok- how do they feel about this? As an economics major I cannot stand behind this. Even as a large craft brewery, Shiner has to realize the average american macro lager buyer is price sensitive. By this I mean that even if this "leicht" is on sale for $6.99 no one is going to trade in their bud, miller, or coors for it. Since shiner cannot compete based on price they should continue to focus on differentiation. This beer is terd. Strait terd.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours clear gold into the glass with no head. Aroma is cheap and skunky. Flavor is similar to BMC, maybe even a little better but honestly there is no way that people will perceive that it is worth the extra money and quite frankly im in agreement with them. Shiner never should have made this beer in my opinion.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a very light gold color. Thin head and quite watery looking. Iím detecting an aroma of pizza dough and italian herbs. Flavor is slightly peppery and very bubbly on the palate. Overall itís a bit more complex in aroma and flavor than I would have thought just by looking at it. It may make a great food pairing with pizza or italian food.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Poured into Pint Glass.
Pours out a Transparent Gold with a small white head that dissapates quickly.
Taste is absent. This beer is so "Leicht", itís sad. Thereís a little salty after taste, very little.
As a general fan of the "Little Brewery in Shiner, Texas," I canít believe they brewed this. Especially after the "red tape" they took to make sure Shiner LIght was "Shiner Quality".
After this beer and Shiner 99, I donít know what theyíre thinking down there in Shiner.
