A: snifter. pours a really light crystal clear yellow color, lighter than most. white head with a decent retention level. low to moderate retention level and really moderate lacing. S: smells like an american maco lager. some corn, but some perfume as well. I am getting worried. T: i am so nervous...I just read the back of the bottle, it says 99 calories. so light in flavor. Tastes like a watered down brew. some sweet malts, but not much. Mostly corn flavors....and water. M: goes down like water. high carbonation. very unappealing mouthfeel to me. D: its drinkable...hell I could drink tons of these. better than a Mich Ultra, but I donít drink that so I wonít drink this again.

A bit too sweet and light for a Shiner product, to me. Grassy, fruity. Very small head when poured into a glass. Refreshing.

Narnad (1417) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - NOV 2, 2009
Pours a very clear, watery looking yellow with a very small white head. Aroma has a sweet grainy, light grassy hops and some mild apple juice notes. Flavor is pretty much a watered down sweet apple juice, light grassy hops and an overall sweet grainy flavor. Very light body, thin texture and low fine carbonation. Overall not great but for a 99 calorie beer it has a little more flavor than the others but still not enough for me to want to actually drink it on a normal schedule.

Pale straw color with a white head. A bit too pale for my liking. Grains and hints of hops grassy hops in the aroma. Reminds me a bit of the old paste/glue years ago. Sweet flavors, perhaps a bit of grain, but more in the lines of grape and apple juice. Hints of floral hops. A light metallic feel. Finish is light with a bit of bitterness and grass. A quinine taste at times, that nearly asks for a lime. Just not right.

12oz twist-off. Clear thin yellow color. Aroma of pils malt. Flavor is sharp, spicy saaz. Malted flavors of canned corn. Very clean refreshing. Light, great for the backyard.

Appearance: Pours a brilliantly clear body with only a touch of yellow hue to it and topped with a short-lived, white head. Smell: Surprisingly weak nose with only the merest hints of sweetish ultra-pale malts. Taste: Altogether light pale maltiness with a hint of grain and mild cereal sweetness. Almost no hop character or bitterness. Finishes quick and clean. Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Oh, itís definitely light, er...leicht. Sometimes I just donít get the light beers - when itís so far removed from beer and is more akin to water, why not just skip those pesky 99 calories and go for the water? Ah well.

Man is this terrible. Skunky from the start. Lots of cereal grains present in aroma/flavor. Blah.

12 oz. bottle. Well, itís a nice label design. Immediate skunk when poured, but it goes away, must have just gathered in the headspace. Very, very pale color, thin white head. Taste is mostly corn that seems to have soured. Bacteria? Maybe. This was from the loose bottle shelf, so maybe a little old, but yikes, it just tastes like spoiled lemonade.
