Odd amount of carbonation more like a light Belgian some coriander and white floral aftertaste kind of tingly on the back of the tongue another nice Shiner beer

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aromas of orange and spice. Flavor has too much orange, I didn’t care for this beer at all. White beers aren’t high on my list.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear golden with a small bubbly head.
Smells of citrus and coriander.
Tastes? Almost the same as it smells.
Almost watery mouthfeel but nothing offensive.
Overall? It’s passable but forgettable.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Relatively true to Belgian beer flavors but the orange peel leaves a surprisingly citrus aftertaste that works well.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a fine-grained, even, white head with some lace. Nose is mostly standard adjunct; corn, yeast, a little aluminum, lemon. I do not smell anything remotely resembling a wit. Nor, for that matter, do I taste anything resembling a wit; it starts off sweet, has some bready notes in the middle, and if anything tastes like an average blonde ale. I feel like I should give this two sets of scores; raise the aroma and taste above by 2 and the overall by 4 if they’d not tried to pretend this was a witbier. 3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
DATE TASTED: August 21, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Rare Vos wit... OCCASION: saying goodbye to summer camp--with The Battle of the Five Armies... APPEARANCE: slightly hazy, suggesting an unfiltered creation... light, golden yellow body with small, copious bubbles... reasonably thick white head that shows surprising retention... AROMA: strong wafts of orange peel and lemon, with banana and biscuit rounding out the profile; bubblegum and yeasts develop a predictable yet appreciable draw ... PALATE: rather flat, malty and watery--easily refreshing but also lacking in substance and texture... little aftertaste, save a bit of beefiness... TASTE: some spiciness early, with bubblegum and orange peel providing the majority of the profile; the coriander is present, but light; the flavor is soft, watery and, at best, of the style... OVERALL: a good accompaniment for a arm, humid night such as this; not outstanding by any stretch, this still fulfills its promise of refreshment...not as engaging, flavorful or nuanced as other summer offerings....
