3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fairly good beer but not nearly hoppy enough to be a good pale ale. Will drink again, probably Shiner’s best beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A clear copper body with an off white head that faded away rather quick. Malty aroma, mostly caramel, but some corn. Hops were slightly floral with some citrus notes. Flavor was mostly sweet hops were slightly bitter and the corn did not add anything to it. Fruity aftertaste and slightly dry in the finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle pours with a crystal clear deep copper body that has thin gold edges and supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up malts and a thin layer of sweet alderwood bacony smokiness. I wasn’t expecting that. Hmm. I get a little bit of red apple in the background but I’m failing to find any hops. After a while that odd bacon note drifted off. The taste starts with malt sweetness and ripe crisp red apple slices before a mild smoky bacon note surfaces. Maybe it is the esters and the floral to earthy almost tea hoppiness that create a bacon sort of note. Strange experience. A few more sips and fruity hops and a drying biscuit maltiness are noticed amid everything else.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Pours an amber with an initially large white head that faded into nothing in an instant. Aromas of sweet corn, vegetal matter. No hop presence detected. Taste is god awful sweet, sticky but no bitterness to pair it with. Just a sweet mess. Finishes in a van down by the river. Dumpster quality. Garbage.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear reddish brown color, pours a frothy dark white head that goes away quickly, with minimal lacing. Very mild smelling, semi-sweet, piney, gummy, and a hint of a bon fire smell. tastes malty and roasted with a mild fruitiness. Good enough to drink it’s a good beer but nothing fancy. For the price it’s worth it.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not much in the way of aroma on this one. Some caramel malts, little if any hops. Rich malt flavor is there, hoppy brightness not so much. Gold pour. A good beer, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to find it.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle from a friend, thanks Denny! Dark gold/amber appearance with a white head and light lacing. Aroma of sweet malts, dank hops, caramel, light citrus fruit and floral notes. Similar flavor, medium sweetness and mild bitterness, nice balance. Average body, pretty easy to drink.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle from the Shiner Family Reunion variety sixer bought at WinCo in CDA, ID. Aroma is extremely bland for style. I think I smell floral notes, Pixie Stix. Pours hazy orange with a long-sustaining cream-colored head that laces a little bit. Taste is much better than the aroma, imparting a candy sweetness with faint bitterness in the finish. It’s all floral as far as the hops go. Creamy mouthfeel, medium-bodied. Easy drinking simple APA.
