12oz bottle. Looks light. Aroma of caramel and pale malts plus some floral and almost citrus hops. Flavor about the same. Average texture. Not a bad beer.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A modest little ale with much to be modest about. Appearance is OK. Taste is not offensive but is largely missing. Lacks body and is a bit watery. There are many better options.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours slightly hazy light amber with a fluffy white-yellow head. Aroma is yeast and floral spice. Taste is mildly floral and light malt and bread with a bit of bitter grapefruit. Slightly skunky aftertaste. Very few hops for a pale ale. Mediocre but drinkable.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, 12oz. Itís a clear, amber beer topped by a dense, fingerthick light beige head. Quite sparkling, and leaving lacings. Itís quite malty on the nose, caramel, bread and some faint coffee hints, as well as pine cones and some grass and citrus. Thereís not much sweetness in the flavor, but itís malt dominated anyway. Bread, caramel, pine cones and some citrus peel, and a decent bitterness. Medium body, a bit too carbonated for my likings. Some metallic hints show up in the else malty and lightly bitter finish. Not so very pale this one, too malty, but it goes down. 130830

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Mostly clear amber orange color. Good thin off-white head. Decent loose ropes and rows of lace. Medium body. Smooth, more crisp lighter carbonation, more dry texture. Kind of a musty hop aroma. Caramel malt, lightly spicy. Moderate bitter taste, little sweet. Not the most impressive flavor profile, but easier drinking than expected. Good to wash my sub down with.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Lightly sweet and fruity malty notes, hints of bread, and low floral hoppy notes. Way below what most would expect for an APA in the hops department. Not a bad beer overall, but not much of an APA.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bready grains, with a simple but prominent hop profile. Good but not great. What I would expect in a Shiner Pale Ale offering.
