2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From World Market. A decent everyday ale. Burnt orange color. A little malty, grassy/piney hops. Bright flavor at first mellows very quickly. Nothing awesome but not bad. Serving: Bottle

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Decent APA from Shiners! Almost, but not quite, IPA which should appeal to the folks not really "hopheads" or those that do not like accented hops in the taste of beer. It is not too sessionable since the ABV is higher than one might expect from the taste. I remember it being less ABV(?) perhaps with some wheat which I don’t sense in this now. But it is a good, kick back in the PM after the lawn is mowed beer.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
pours clear medium dark golden orange with a very ncie creamy off-white head, good retention/lacing. spicy toasted maltiness, buttery toffee, caramel, faint fruitiness - clementiens, pepper, some citrus peel, pine, sprucey soap - irish spring-like *TM, chlorine and other awkward chemincals. light carbonation - slightly foamy, light body - kind of watery, balanced spicy-citrusy finish. weak pale ale.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma has grape/cherry/orange and overall fruity notes. The color is transparent copper color. The taste is where you notice the hops. A pretty good beer, it works for me.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
The smell is ok, and the appearance is fairly nice... The taste for me not so much, I really don’t know what it is, it’s very orange peelish. It’s drinkable, but it ain’t my beer

2.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottled - not bad for a Shiner. Nice color and flavor. Has a little bitterness to it - along the lines of an ESB. Aroma is nothing/bad though.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amber colored. Nose is spicy and fruity. Bitterness bites at the beginning of sip, then slides to mellow sweetness, and finishes bitter. Sweet and toasted grain aromas. Also has hints of pepper and grapefruit.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Meh. not a classic APA by my definition. it’s not BAD, but not something I’d get again. Too much biscuit and a hint of cardboard cut through with grassy and citric hops. just ok.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark golden color, clear, avg carbonation and a head with no retention. Aroma of light citrus/fruit and a hint of floral. Flavor is similar with mostly a bittering finish. Light on the tongue and a light beer overall but definitely APA in character. No off flavors.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
It pours a clear medium amber with a white sudsy head and possesses mild notes of grain malts, floral hops, caramel and a stale cardboard odor. This brew is a little lighter than I expected, it has a very mild hoppiness and a light caramel sweetness and not much else. Really nothing special here...
