Wild Hare is a classic American Pale Ale-richly hopped, fruity and floral. Munich malt nicely balances the assertive character of the U.S. Golding and Bravo hop varieties that give this brew its signature bitterness and aroma. Enjoy!

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2012 Spicy, peppery, mildly citrusy hop aromatics, with an inky edge that I find somewhat weird. The taste is nowhere near as bright as the aroma — it’s dull and shy, with some vestiges of hop citrus and grass toward the aftertaste, along with some caramelized sugar. The malts do tend to grow in character with temperature, but not enough to rescue the beer. Light body with lively effervescence, making for a satisfactory mouthfeel. Underwhelming.

Bottle. Clear orange body, gold-tinted head that settles quickly without leaving lace. Subtle marmalade hop character, sweet grainy body, very watery. There’s no way such a bodiless beer can be 5.7%?

Light amber with a thick meringue head, some lacing, and a hoppy, sweet nose. Well-carbonated intro with a thin, watery mouthfeel and a mildly hoppy finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange color with a white, fizzy head. Light, hoppy aroma with a malt presence as well. Hoppy taste with some light tart and floral notes. Could use some more hops, but not too bad.

Pours a dark amber with a thick white head. Aroma is sweet, malty with a hint of something funkier...earthy and rotten fruit. Taste is sweet malt at first and then the hoppiness takes over. Unfortunately the citrus hoppiness is not there...it’s more earthy...English-like. Not very good at all.

This beer is amber with ample carbonation to diffuse its several aromas of hops. The malt is a good mixture producing a medium body and an adequate base for what is a high hop level from Shiner, but really moderate. My complaint is that the hop blend seems to strive for an English quality without achieving it and leaving an astringency in the finish. The beer is reminiscent of a couple of offerings from Samuel Adam’s and goes well with heavy foods.

Barely perceptible aroma of orange peel. Hazy copper, thick lacy head. Tea with a hint of meringue at midpalate. Weak.

Not a lot of bitterness. A little fruity flavor. Good balance and pretty smooth. Nice Amber color. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours amber orange with a frothy white head. Aroma of caramel, floral hops, bread and citrus. Flavor of citrus, caramel, floral, earth and had a touch of grapefruit.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours orangish with a white head. Taste Carmel, sweet. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
