Wild Hare is a classic American Pale Ale-richly hopped, fruity and floral. Munich malt nicely balances the assertive character of the U.S. Golding and Bravo hop varieties that give this brew its signature bitterness and aroma. Enjoy!

12 oz. bottle from Shiner. Pours a very clear, burnished gold malt color, under a slightly orangey and thick head. Smell brings on the hops, but in a mild way. Smell does bring in the hops, but in a gentle way. This is proclaimed to be the first ever ale from Shiner after 102 years of lagers, and the intent seems to be as a "gateway" from their lagers. Taste has slightly light malt, possibly some of it is balanced from the hops, but the overall effect is a lighter mouthfeel than the usual hop bombs. Hops are definitely American, with notes of citrus, pine and resin. Just not as powerful as the usual hop bomb. In other words, easy going and almost sessionable.

Bottle from a mixed-sixer. Pours out a light honey amber color. Decent carbonation with light tan head. Smooth and malty flavors. Good balance. Not that bad, actually.

Bottle in SA. Not much to write about. Does not really live up to the pale ale title. Light on hops and you can taste the malt. Not very good, although flavorful. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle pours a pale amber color with a fizzy white head that fades and leaves light soapy like lacing smells of straw, citrus, and light pine. Tastes of the same things with a slight metallic and some caramel flavor. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with good carbonation. Nice for the heat of Texas and summers elsewhere. Nothing special as far as pale ales go though.

This is a subpar attempt at an American pale ale. It is a nice clear orange color w/ a fine-bubbled white head w/ lots of lace. It does really look nice but that is about all the good I have to say about this. The nose is muted floral hops and a slightly oxidized nutty malt character. Taste is just a bit sweet w/ a harsh metallic sort of bitterness floating on top of it. It is a bit syrupy in texture w/ medium to vigorous carbonation. This is really nothing fresh and vibrant to the hop character here and the metallic off-flavor keeps it from being all that drinkable so I just donít think this is a worthwhile beverage in any sense.

Decent light copper pour w/ a thin white head that leaves a little lacing. The aroma is slightly awkward - kind of sour & sweet. Unfortunately, the taste isnít as interesting. This is a pale? Please, this is bland & barely a step above a macro. Itís dry w/out any hop presence & all around a disappointing brew!

Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a decent sized but short lived off white head. Aromas of bread and light caramel maltiness with hints of fruit and earthy hops. The flavor holds more earthy hop flavor than the aroma suggested backed up by a solid bready caramel malt base and lots of sugary fruitiness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Decent pale ale, but kind of middle of the road. Nothing flawed, but a bit boring.

Pours an amber color with off-white head. Some pine and citrus on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with just a bit of malt.

Poured from a bottle. Tall head that reduces quickly but stays at about a quarter inch. Kind of a skunky aroma and taste. Tartness at the finish.

Pours amber with white head that dissipates quickly. Faint hop aroma. Hop taste but I am not a big fan of this taste. Pale ale palate. Drinkable but needs better hope to improve.

From a bottle. Pours clear copper with a fizzy off white head. Tastes like a musky, sweet corn, dry malt, light fruit. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet corn, fruit, and dry, musky malt.
