2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Pershing (375) - Garland, Texas, USA - MAR 9, 2012Clear copper with an off white head with lacing. Faint citris and malt aroma. Spritzy medium mouthfeel with a good amount of hop bitterness. A little dry on the finish.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 EithCubes (4233) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 12, 2013
Bottle, stupid screw top. Nose of dulled but modern hops with slightly less-than-modern hopping rates, pours cloudy dark amber with a short beige head. Fizzy, lightly yeasty-metallic start in the mouth, touch of biscuit with faint sweetness and almost non-existent bitterness. Sheesh, guys, I was only joking, no need to take away the hops! Light earth and tropical character on the margins, but otherwise this leaves the impression of industrial American Dark Lager with a pinch more hops (may the style, no longer with us on RB, RIP). Touch of soury/gritty caramel, medium body.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 decaturstevo (4157) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JUN 12, 2013
Gold/amber pour with white head and lace. Aroma is light citrus hops some earthy tones and a semi sweet caramel malt. Light sweet malt start followed by an earthy/floral bitterness. Light medium body with good carbonation. Maybe the best beer I’ve had from these guys. APA not so sure, solid PA yes
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 OKplus (558) - Oklahoma, USA - JUN 7, 2013
12 oz. served into a Great Divide pint glass
A - Amber body with a slight chilled haze. A thick rocky head creates solid lacing.
S - Caramel, orange citrus, odd yeast aroma.
T - Watered down citrus clashes with muted caramel malt. Some bread and metallic mineral flavors in the middle. The finish never really happens. It just kinda falls off.
M - Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.
I went into this with high hopes for some reason. It wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. Everything happens right of the top and then just washes out.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 superspak (1536) - Michigan, USA - JUN 5, 2013
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Slow gusher upon opening. Pours lightly hazy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of orange zest, pear, apple, caramel, bread, floral, grass, slight pine, light pepper, and light floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt and hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of orange zest, pear, apple, caramel, bread, floral, grass, light pine, light pepper, and floral earthiness. Light floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, light fruits, caramel, bread, floral, grass, light pepper, light pine, and floral earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance of malt and hop flavors; with no cloying flavors after the finish. A little lacking in flavor robustness. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a pretty solid pale ale. Quite pleasant in flavor and balance, but lacking in some aspects. An enjoyable offering.

Not a half bad pale ale. Clean caramel malts, medium body and plenty of citrus and floral hopping in the nose and flavors.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours orange amber with a slight head. Weak floral over light malt for aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is more like an amber than an APA. Hoped for more.
2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 rickyleepotts (63) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Every time a new beer comes to Total Wine & More, I have to try it. This is new, and I am not impressed. I like Shiner... but that’s about it. Their black isn’t very good, either. This is a decent fruity pale ale with a somewhat fruity nose and a well balanced, not very aggressive hop profile on the palate. Glad I got it, but I won’t buy it again.

12oz bottle at a friend’s house. Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Nose is sweet caramel, floral notes, orange, and some citrus hops. Flavor is similar: sweet malt, floral notes, and citrus hops. Light in body and nice overall.
