3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask conditioned at The Ship Inn, Low Newton by the Sea, Northumberland. Pale yellow gold with white head. Light and fresh lemon sherbert flavour from the start with a slight fizzy feel on the tongue. Sharp, refreshing and pretty pallateable, another good beer from here.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask handpull, The Ship Inn, Low Newton, Northumberland. Milky slick collar draped over deep tawny amber. Nose sickbowl citrus, medicinal cherry lolly, Hall and Woodhouse-type fruit and wholemeal. Slick and soapy with caramel and faint nutty notes, some toffee and bitter orange. Robust bittering hop without aromatics. A bit drab, but solid.
