Ship Inn Tims Porter

Hunting for beer along the river one night, found the Ship. This did not disappoint. Very dark with a variety of chocolate/coffee flavors. So good we took home a growler.

Pours a brown with amber highlights and a medium creamy off white head. Aroma of light coffee, chocolate and fruits. Flavor of bitter chocolate, coffee, lightly roasted grains and some milk chocolate that lingers and some slight fruitiness.

Had to add this beer, tasted at NJ Battleship NJ Beer Fest. Perhaps the best beer of the show. True engish porter in the vein of Fullers. Dark brown with nice head, soft, medium bodied, good malt presence with hop balance, slight smoke and roast, dry wood, cocoa. Excellent.
