A crisp light ale, made with wheat, barley, and fruit juice from fresh Door County cherries, create a uniquely fruity beer.

Pours a bright ruby color with a white head. As the name suggests, aroma is all cherry and wheat, with the cherry being dominant. Taste is similar, but this time the wheat flavor is more potent. Light, crisp, and refreshing. Kind of tart as well. Good carbonation. This is nice for summer.

Tastes just like cough syrup. No lie. Relatively thick, sickeningly cherry, and not good. The aroma is tolerable, but the flavor is atrocious.

Cherry and wheat aroma. Cloudy, copper with off-white head, mild lacing. Cherry, wheat, mild lemon flavours. Balanced with medium bitterness.

Heidel House Brewfest. An amber beer with white head. Aroma of cherry chapstick, light vanilla, and wheat malt. Flavor is initially a brief tart cherry, followed by wheat malt, and an odd sharp, almost bitter finish. Average body. Not that refreshing for a fruit beer.

From old notes. Taste is tart cherries. Much more predominate than SA cherry wheat and more natural tasting. That said an unremarkable beer.

Better than expected. Not an overbearing fruit bomb. The base of the beer is fairly simple, sweet and malty. Not something I’d seek out again but it was worth trying.

This a mild brew w/ lots of caramel malt flavors and a tart, fruity edge from the cherries. It’s cloudy w/ a small white head. At the very least, this does appear to be brewed w/ actual cherries which puts it a step above most of it’s ilk. It doesn’t quite come together perfectly but at least it doesn’t taste like Kool Ade.

got a 6-pack of this from Woodman’s in Janesville, WI for $7.79 in Winter 2011. Pours a clear reddish amber color with not too much of a head due to the lack of carbonation. Scent is heavy with sweet cherry juice scents with some wheat scents as well. The texture is rather flat and uninviting. It really reminds me of the taste of day old beer with some grenadine added. Probably one of the worst fruit beers I’ve had. It’s still drinkable but not very enjoyable. I think I’ll stick to Sam Adams Cherry Wheat the next time.

Bottle… Pours golden with an orange tint and a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is all about maraschino cherries, moderately toasted malts and buttery diacetyl. Medium-bodied and watery with tickling carbonation. The flavor is perfectly balanced, but provides only a touch of cherry essence. Finishes crisp and a touch dry with a faint kiss of butter. Thanks go out to Dad for this one!

Bottled. Pours a slightly hazy pinkish golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma is slightly tart cherry, wheat grass, with slight medicinal notes. The flavor has some cherry and wheat, but again there are some medicinal notes that take away from this.
