On tap at the brewpub, pours a hazy pale orange. Cherry nose, cherry taste. Like drinking the water that a jar of cherries comes in.

Draft at Fish Creeks Coopers Corner. Reddish amber color with pretty much zero head. Aroma is of tart cherries. The taste is pretty disappointing. Slight cherry taste an then a bland aftertaste. Fairly pedestrian. Medim mouthfeel. Blah

The aroma of this beer is the extent of its quality. Very full of cherries, without the traditional metallic scent that usually comes along with the cherry beers. Other than the smell, this beer is terrible. Lightly bitter, no fruit taste, and not refreshing at all.

Transparent copper color with a very thin white head. Sour aroma with mild flavors of wheat and cherry and a slightly tart finish. Not recommended.

12oz bottle. Why add artificial color? Filtered pink-tan color, a touch of Haze. Minimal, though still present and lasting, head. Sugary cherry aroma, not overly assertive, but hard to mistake. Itís not bad by any means, but very standard, lacking zest. It is more beer-centric than most fruit beers, with some toasty malt tones shining through the mellow, black cherry taste. There is some mild, pit bitterness in the aftertaste that you get after a few sips, which I would think would be hard to appreciate or recognize from a small sample. Pretty decent offering, but blown away by the world of Kriek.

Pours to a clear copper body with a thin white head. The aroma is fresh cherry pie and cherry juice. Realistic cherry aroma. The flavor is cherry up front thatís subtle with a back end toasty malt thatís not. The palate is medium light bodied with an average texture.

Dark amber to copper color.Somewhat fizzy light beige, with a hint of pink color. Cherry candy, almond, biscuit and wood in the aromas. Light dark cherry and wood malt flavors. The almond and wood flavors dry things out and have a mild astringency. I agree with the unique part of the description. Sweet in the start dry in the finish. Leaves me wanting something else.

12 oz. bottle, thanks to the lady in my life: This poured a clear, deep golden body with a suggestioon of a pink tint. The creamy white head quickly devolved into a ring around the glass. The aroma was fresh red, sweet cheeries (which I like, as opposed to the dreaded blueberries, which I donít) with a touch of grain. That pretty well describes the flavor, too, except that thereís a slight off-ish bitterness that seems out of place. Okay, I sípose.

12 oz bottle courtesy of my girlfriendís brotherís trip to Door County. Pours a golden light amber, pretty much transparent, moderate bright white head that dies to a small layer, laces some. Aromas are a bit of wheaty graininess, tart cherries, bit of tannin like bitterness, cereal. Pretty nice. Initial is grainy, flaked wheat, bit of dust, tart cherries, cereal and cheerios. Bitter on the finish, grainy wheat body. Mellow, cherries take over which are decidedly natural Door County cherries. A little underwhelming, but a decent fruit beer. Strength is the natural tart feel of the cherries.

RSRIZZO (1850) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JUN 18, 2009
(Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) - Color is a golden brown with a slight haze. Carbonation is very good with a nice white head. Aroma is cider like with a hint of cherry in the back. Taste is light and crisp. Starting with a light body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish is light with a creamy wheat like taste a a hint of tart. Thereís a slight metallic in the after taste with just a hint of cherry. Overall its an easy drinking wheat but is lacking a bit on flavor.
