Another from Skyview. Thanks Bob. Lightly smoked malt in the aroma. Thin and watery body, with very light toasted grain and minimal coffee. A definite session porter.

The Shipwrecked brewpub was closed for the season. Luckily I could purchase a six-pack at Main Street Market in Egg Harbor, WI. Brought back to Minnesota and shared with the Twin Cities team. This brew pours a dark brown color with a light tan head. Minimal head and some lacing. Aromas picked up are burnt coffee, milk chocolate, raisins and some honey. Palate is a little flat and missing the bite I am used to in most porters. Finish is a bit watery and not much aftertaste.

Dark Brown Coloring with Sandy Head. Aroma is Syrapy and Bittering. Think Mouthfeel...a Bit Astringent...Malts are Lightly Roasted. Aftertaste is Lightly Dry, Subtle and Makes This Very Much So a Session Brew.. The Bittering Reminds me of What Lactose Would Also Do to This Brew. Refreshingly Interesting ’Porter’.

Oh dear, this was a disappointment. As a localy I would love to see a great darker beer coming out of this area, but it’s certainly not gonna be this one.
Pours a dark brown with a brownish head that overflows rather too much. Tastes mainly of chocolate, caremel, slight raiseny flavors, and bittering hops. Aftertaste is too much like shoe polish and their is absolutely no body to back up the darker malts. Not a good first beer to try from this brewery.

Really wanted to like something from this place. Started and stopped with the porter. Weak aroma, sharp coffee flavors, high carbonation, reasonable palate, unpleasant bitter finish (black malt bitter, not hop bitter). Plastic cup didn’t help. Door County needs a good brewery.

Deep brown pour with a light tan head. Aroma had some roasted coffee and caramel, but was rather subdued. Medium-bodied and slightly bitter toward the back of the palate. Flavor started out with bitter coffee.. followed by some chocolate and caramel malts (solidly malty all around). Light hops and coffee provided the finish. Tasty porter, but nothing exceptional.

A white head that lasted a while. Beer was medium/dark brown wih aroma of roasted barley. Roasted flavor prevalent but no hop component to speak of. Bitterness in finish. Passable beer from a bad brewery.
