COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark, full bodied beer, with overtones of coffee and roasted barley, that is slightly sweet, with just enough hops to balance out the full malt flavor.

12oz bottle shared by mullman. Pours with a black and a tan head. The beer is roast, caramel, light diacetyl, and light infection, Nice way to cover the not-to-dos in beer. Has that infection fizzy mouthfeel.

Near black with a lid of light tan/khaki bubbles. Hints of dark caramel, molasses and roasted malts. Quite water in feel. Thin flavors as well. Flavors of lightly burnt toast and touch of cocoa.

Dark brown pour with a medium tan head - the look is the best part. Aroma is somewhat choco-roasty, but smells off. Taste is similar, but the bottle could be suffering from infection.

Bottle- from Door County. Dark chocolate brown, cream head with good lacing. Little bit lighter in flavor at first taste, but then developed over time and could taste the clean chocolate malts. Not terribly complex, but solid.

Enjoyed on tap yesterday at the restaurant. Solid deep mahogany hue with light brown foam. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. The mouthfeel was excellent, not too watery but also sessionable. The flavor was outstanding as well...smooth iced coffee came to mind. Very smooth and very tasty makes this porter a winner.

Thanks to Skyview for this taste. Faint burnt coffee in the aroma of this dark beer. Slightly dry finish with a slightly burnt taste on the body. Not bad.

Another from Skyview. Thanks Bob. Lightly smoked malt in the aroma. Thin and watery body, with very light toasted grain and minimal coffee. A definite session porter.

The Shipwrecked brewpub was closed for the season. Luckily I could purchase a six-pack at Main Street Market in Egg Harbor, WI. Brought back to Minnesota and shared with the Twin Cities team. This brew pours a dark brown color with a light tan head. Minimal head and some lacing. Aromas picked up are burnt coffee, milk chocolate, raisins and some honey. Palate is a little flat and missing the bite I am used to in most porters. Finish is a bit watery and not much aftertaste.

Dark Brown Coloring with Sandy Head. Aroma is Syrapy and Bittering. Think Mouthfeel...a Bit Astringent...Malts are Lightly Roasted. Aftertaste is Lightly Dry, Subtle and Makes This Very Much So a Session Brew.. The Bittering Reminds me of What Lactose Would Also Do to This Brew. Refreshingly Interesting ’Porter’.
