2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours an opaque brown-black with very little head. Nose is of coffee and dark malt. Fairly creamy on the palate, the taste is of dark roasted malt, coffee and a vague hint of hops on the finish. Only an average Porter, this one pairs well with cheese spread on Ritz crackers.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Deep chestnut pour with a small white head. Nice roasty and sweet toffee aroma. Similar taste. Medium bodied. This is pretty solid, much better than I was anticipating based on the average ratings.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle pours a dark brown with small khaki head and some lacing. Aroma is chock full of roasted malts and bready malts, with some coffee bitterness and nuts. Taste is slightly bitter. Body is at best medium (I always hope for a thicker porter) with average carbonation. At first I thought that the breadiness in this reminded me of a doppelbock, but on further reflection, itís just another porter with a slightly different twist.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub bar, and dispensed to a pint glass with a nearly opaque, amber highlighted, dark brown color, with a substantial, light tan, cakey head, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The aroma was mild roastiness, with cocoa and coffee notes of like intensity, a bit of nuttiness, and just a touch of toffee sweetness. The flavor was similar, adding moderate hop bitterness, a medium body, and soft carbonation. The finale was fairly dry. A decently crafted Porter.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to JoePeesie! Thin dark pour with lots of khaki lacing. Aroma is mild of distant coffee and sweet cream. Flavor has notes of coffee and is nutty, but whatís distinctive is a pleasant sweetness: either coconut or marshmallow cream. Much lighter body and flavors than most porters; really itís closer to a brown ale. I really like the sweetness here. Itís subtle but pretty nice.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle pours deep brown with a khaki head. Aroma shows light to moderate roast, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, and lots of coffee. Flavor shows plenty of roast as well as some nutiness and a touch of earth.
Overall body is light to moderate and the finish is fairly balanced. The aroma delivered much more than the flavor, but overall not too shabby.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a dark deep brown with an off white head. Nose and taste are of coffee, malts and hops. Fairly generic, nothing really special IMO. Nothing bad, but a better cooking beer than drinking beer for my money.
