I got a very light bodied brew with light flavors overall of roasted malt, very light chocolate, and a little vanilla coffee flavor. Full flavor? No. Full Body? No. Good beer? Actually, it wasn’t too bad. Nice blend of flavors. I just don’t appreciate the description telling me about a completely different beer. Don’t be afraid to sell your product for what it is.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 6, 2009 12 oz bottle from the lady in my life: It poured a deep brown body, clear around the edges, with a creamy tan head that devolved into a smallish but sustained bubbly affair. The aroma promised much, with milk chocolate, lightly roasted malts, runny molasses, and coffe grounds, but it turned into a watered down drink. The flavor is roasty with bittersweet chocolate and charred nuts (Ouch!). The finish was a bit dry. Drinkable, but probably won’t be repeated. FlssmrBrewAlum (1190), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 26, 2009 12 oz bottle courtesy of my girlfriend’s brother’s trip to the brewery. Pours a rich dark brown, opaque, big coca cola hued head stays moderately large, laces. Aromas are nice chocolate, lighter coffee grounds, a touch of sweet cream nestled between moderate roasted malts. Initial rocks a too thin body, light creamy chocolate, coffee roast, roasted malts of decent flavor, and a bit of a vegetal finish nestled into the sweet and roast balance towards the finish. Lighter fare, touch vegetal and butterscotchy. I had high hopes for this on the aroma, but the beer itself fell short. Cheers. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 18, 2009 (Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) - Color is black with good carbonation and a thin off white head. Aroma is a faint roasted malt scent. Taste is burnt and dry. Starting with a medium body it goes down easy with a smooth fizzy feel. Finish is a deep roasted burnt like taste with a touch of bitterness. After taste is dry with the burnt lingering a bit. Its ok but a bit drier then I like a Porter it be. Aroma of semi-sweet dark toasty caramel malts with a touch of dark chocolate. Body starts with good fullness and toasty dark caramel maltiness with some chocolatey bittersweetness and hop balance before the smooth finish. A pretty decent porter. Big, lightly bitter baking chocolate nose, a bit herbal. Flavor follows to a T, although a bit weaker than the aroma promised. A bit thin, excellent lace rings. Solid if unspectacular. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. Taste of the same with the chocolate and a bitterness come across on the back end. This medium bodied brew is not bad and I was quite surprised. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
