Sep 1, 2005 Deep brown pour with a nice well-retained creamy tan head. Nice lacing as it went down. Aroma picked up roasted barley, caramel, and light hops. Creamy and smooth on the palate with coffee on the finish. Roasty flavor that was coffee-based. Nothing exciting about this one, but it was respectable.

Jul 20, 2004 Slight off-white head with no retention. Medium brown slightly hazy beer. No aroma. Taste of roasted barley (?!?) but little malt sweetness or character. More like a brown ale, but nothing like a bock..an American bock ...maybe.
