| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours with a tan head over a hazed deep brown body. Aroma of toffee, banana, chocolate and dark fruits. Taste is lightly roast and astringent, with a dark fruit quality, raisins, some earthy chocolate, and toffee. Creamy mouthfeel, light carbonation. Pretty basic, but not horrible by any means. Boutip (2350), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2009 Bottle: Poured a deep clear burgundy color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with some dry English hops also noticeable. Taste is a mix between some sweet malt with light biscuit notes with some dry English hops. Malts are lacking in complexity with no dry fruit or any other characteristics. Body is a bit light with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. mcox90 (629), Wilton, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 5, 2009 22 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with mahogany edges. One finger brown head and a goodly amount of lacing. Aroma is heavy on chocolate and dark fruit. Warm, heavy palate without much carbonation. Almost cough syrup like in consistency. Flavor screams chocolate covered cherries soaked in alcohol. Pretty good brew, but not like any barleywine I’ve had before. shawnm213 (918), South Bend, Indiana, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 13, 2009 Grainy Tannic smell and flavor. Definitely English in style. Weak for a barley wine. Raisin, licorice, Bing cherry flavors. Dry, dry, dry and really coats the mouth and tongue. This beer is not pleasant or satisfying but it is unique. It is well made and if you like it you really do but I don’t. Middle of the road beer. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 8, 2009 Daytona 500 tasting. Foil topped bomber, just like the pic. Clear, deep amber with a beige head. Kinda crappy weak caramel and spice, some earth. Astringent flavor, lightly fruity and hot. Meh. DYCSoccer17 (2190), Davis, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 3, 2009 22 ounce bottle purchased at the BevMo in Vacaville, CA. Aroma has some fruits, raisins, and a touch of buttery diacetyl present. Some ethanol is also detected. Slightly sweet. Dark cola colored body with a nice light tan head that leaves good lacing. An attractive brew. Sweet, sugary, underattenuated malty, syrupy start. Some hints of raisin are in the middle with a little bit of leather later on. Finishes with some more sweetness. Other than this being too sweet and underattenuated, the flavor of this isn’t too bad. danielcurtis81 (888), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Bottle. Nose is very malty, like a trip to the Home Brew Mart. Pours a deep gold red copper with a nice beige head. Flavors full of malts, especially pale malts. Some candy or jam notes too. A little cheap dark cherries. Mouth was mild, and effervescent. I liked this one but did not really seem like a barley wine at all.
