Bottle at home, courtesy of dad (cheers dad) Sunday 9th March 2014 Looks wise this is brilliant, black with a tan head, looks lovely. Roasty initially it is a tasty stout but a little thin, however it is smooth and a little silky, very enjoyable. A7 A5 T7 P4 Ov14 3.7

Bottle from Morrisons, Byker. This is a jet-black beer that pours with a bright brown head. It has liquorice and coffee flavours with chocolate and vanilla on the creamy roasted finish.

Bargain at £1per bottle from Morrison’s. Looks like Guinness. Smells a bit like Guinness. Probably tastes slightly better than Guinness. Very chocolate(y), coffee(ish) and malty. Lovely!

Really dark/black head disappears quickly. Roast malts are well to the fore on the nose and palate, has a good long finish. A well made, tasty stout, thoroughly enjoyed this!

Bottle, Morrisons, New Brighton. Poured nigh on black with a fair sized tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, molasses and choc. Dryish. Drinkable but a bit on the thin side and lacking any real va va voom.
