Bottle from BevMo. Pours very black with a very large tan head. Aromas of chocolate and dark toast malt. Medium minus body with mild carbonation. Flavor is chocolate, coffee and really dark malt. A bit thin, but otherwise a good drink. Seems astringent, which might equate with dry. Pretty tasty, but not to die for. I’d pick it over quite a few others.

Dark brown with tan head. Aroma is mostly coffee, with some chocolate as well. Taste is bitter coffee, with a bit of chocolate. Not very rich -- tastes more like a porter than a stout.

Bottle. Poured black color with a huge fizzy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Solid roasted malt aroma. Medium body with a creamy texture. Medium roasted sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Black with a small tan head. Aroma of toffee, chocolate and a faint roasted note. Chocolate and burnt ashy flavour. Very one-dimensional.

12 oz bottle-pours a rocky brown head with ink black color. Aroma is coffee, malt, a crispness/estringent. Taste-the estringent is the first impact, then coffee, malt. Medium body. Not usually my taste, but maybe got an infected one here.

A deep dark stout with a thin moka head. In aroma, a sweet caramel malt, butterscotch, and light chocolate. In mouth, a kight watery stout with butterscotch, faint chocolate, rather boring. On tap at Mr. Beery’s , Jan 3 2011.

355ml bottle (Kitty’s, Helsinki) - shared by mjs - thanks
Nice fruity stout aroma, and a touch of rotting fruit too. Good roast stout, but a dry dry palate. Nice tingle, but too dry for me. A touch disappointing after the aroma.

Tap. Pours opaque black with a medium, creamy tan head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma leather and roast malt with prunes and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

12 ounce bottle from State Line Liquors, opened 3/15/11. Pours a very dark brown color with a thin tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, sweet caramel notes and a nutty note. The taste is roasted malts, sunflower seeds and tart fruits that seem like they’re not supposed to be there. Thin bodied.
