3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma of roasted malt and alcohol. Pours black, very big blackish tan head. Smooth, sweet, roasted malt bitterness with a touch of noble hops, finish is abrupt and dry. Overall a sessionable, very well done stout.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
pours dark brown head is light brown and lasts briefly, taste is bitter maybe too bitter as their little balancing sweetness but it is american and lots of their breweries do overdo it a bit, otherwise their is a hint of chocolate, the aftertaste is dry but a bit sourish and not pleasant, not a beer I would buy again

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours just off black with a thin head. Aroma is of a cocoa rich milk chocolate with a light coffee note. Flavour adds some dried fruit notes and a firm, lasting bitterness. Almost no roast notes which is a bit odd for an Irish stout. This is a pretty decent beer but it is not a classic Irish stout.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black with thick, brown head. Aroma smells strongly of burnt coffee (Perhaps a little too much). Strong malty flavor but is overpowered by the dark malts. A tad too bitter. Overall, a pretty good stout.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A great stout. Had a bottle for breakfast one morning. Lots of dark colored head. Doesn’t have a very roasty flavor. Has an unfortunate oily texture and at some points the taste reminded me of crayons.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark brown with a huge, brown head. Aroma is dry as hell with hints of chocolate and coffee. A little bit sweet, but also toast and coffee in the flavor. Not at all exciting.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a deep black with a small short lived brown head.Got the light aroma of vanilla. The flavor was a rather mild roasted malt. Not much of an aftertaste but went down smooth.I wouldn’t buy this again but could drink it if offered.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: Poured jet-black and opaque with a very small, tan head that hung around for the duration. Small amount of lacing on the glass.
S: A very nice combination of heavy malt, in the form of chocolate, and a lot of roasted coffee. Quite a lot of character, here.
T: Starts off with the sweetness of dark chocolate, and finishes with the roasted coffee that was so present in the aroma. Average duration, but not overpowering.
M: Body is medium, yet slightly thin-oily... not as thick as you would expect from the color. Average carbonation for the style.
D: I’m only starting to enter the world of stouts, but I was really impressed by this one. A very good, non-overbearing dry Irish stout that would probably make a good entry-level stout for anyone else in the same boat.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Coffee notes, watery. Taste is smooth but too smooth, not much to it. Mildly spicy, carbonated aftertaste. Improves as it warms. Neither remarkable nor bad.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma was chocolate with coffee - rich and hearty. It poured deep black with a tall tan head. Good lacing. Well balanced stout with a nice malt start fading into a hop bite.
