3.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Bopper81 (31) - Georgia, USA - DEC 8, 2011
pours brown, almost black. All roasty malts on the nose: cocoa, toasty. Maybe slight floral hops?
Yeastie Beasties very appearant in the glass, not a fan of that!
Taste is good, and of roasted malts and roasted cocoa, just as the scent indicated. It’s such a shame, the yeast floaters. This really has potential.

A unique, light bodied stout with medium strength flavor. Aroma is roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is similar with a dry, short finish. A refreshingly drinkable stout.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2006 Decent aroma and appearance but flavor left a lot to be desired. Perhaps an bottle well past freshness. Seemed to have good potential, I’ll give it another try.

This beer I had at underground bluz(see review in orlando) very bubbly, not much taste at all. I’ve never been a fan of shipyard beers, and this one is no exception. Poured it’s pretty thick and looks nice but it tastes like soda water and has very little flavor otherwise, my friend took a sip and said it had a coffee flavor, I tried it again and was able to slightly detect that flavor but overall very little flavor, it’s not a bad beer but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Deep, dark appearance with mocha aroma. Nice malty flavor that is a little reserved.

On nitro at redlight redlight in Orlando. A decent beer. Poured a dark brown/black with a half inch white head. Very similar to your other milk stouts, a little bit bland for my tastes.

May 16, 2010. Dark, almost black - light doesn’t escape it. Strong chocolate with an undertone of espresso on the nose. More carbonated than expected, chocolate and butter stand out. "Hidden" bitterness and touch of lemon. It’s there but you only taste it if you look for it. Enough sweetness that it’s not mouth-puckeringly dry. Chocolate and malt lingers in the mouth. Nice and flavorful.

Poured very black with tan/brown head. Aromas of roasted coffee are all over the nose. On the palate, more coffee, mixed in with some chocolate flavors and lactose. Quite tasty and very drinkable.

A lighter stout and one of my semi-local favorites. Use glass everytime no exceptions. Its a great beer.
