just above average in just about everything that counts. a nice dry irish with lots of roasted malts, but nothing special, and of course, a tad thin. a decent beer, but not one i’ll return too.

12oz. bottle. Pours black with a copious brown head. The aroma consists of coffee, leather, smoke, and a little roastiness. Tastes moderately sweet and fairly bitter with a fairly dry finish.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Overall it was Ok. but a little watery and fizzy for a Stout. That being said, there were decent flavors of roasted coffe, bitterness and pepper. It was OK, but I need more alch.

pours dark brown head is light brown and lasts briefly, taste is bitter maybe too bitter as their little balancing sweetness but it is american and lots of their breweries do overdo it a bit, otherwise their is a hint of chocolate, the aftertaste is dry but a bit sourish and not pleasant, not a beer I would buy again

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark brown with promising tan head. Aroma is creamy toasted malts and cocoa. This is an excellent stout. Shipyard hit one out of the ballpark on this offering. Perfectly balanced bitter with very smooth dark malts and coffee undertones. Nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very dark beer. Much like guineess as it has a huge creamy head and a very dark strong mocha body.
