From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. 2010 issue. Expiration date - Sept. 2010. It pours a handsome looking ruby-brown tone with an off-white head that dissolves very quickly and limited lacing. The aroma has all the characteristics of a good brown ale with butterscotch, caramel malts, and a wisp of hops at the tail end. The mouthfeel is rather thin and unenticing. The taste is a decent enough mixture of sweetness and bitterness with a little dash of hops in the background. Nothing extraordinary but not bad in the final analysis.

Courtesy of a trade with The Wheelman, this 12 oz bottle poured clear amber with a light tan head and good lacing rings. Te nose is roasted caramel malts, nuts, and floral and grassy hops. The body is full and the mouthfeel smooth. The flavor is malty and nuttiness adds to taste. Finish is rich and lingering. Good brown.

From mcox90 via trade. Poured a fairly dark brown color with a short, off-white head, aggressive carbonation and only a bit of lacing. Aroma is of sweet caramel malts and light citrus. Not much in terms of roasted or chocolate malts. The flavor was again sweet malts and light citrus hops. A bit of vanilla and maybe some thin chocolate but not much. Thin mouthfeel with lots of carbonation.

Pours brown with a tan head. Smells of wheat, some earth, some pepper. Tastes earthy and chocolatey with some roasty hints on the finish.

12oz bottle pours clear deep amber and tan head with brown highlights. This has a nice aroma full of caramel malts, nuttiness and some roasty malts. The taste is similar with lots of caramel malts moving into nuttiness, a dash of chocolate and mild notes of malt roastiness. Nice brown.
