Bottle from Tesco in Eastbourne shared with McTapps. Average Ale with a bt of hops and some malty moments, maybe some nuts. Drinkable but just refreshing and not relly satisfying.

Bottle bought at local Tesco in Eastbourne. Pours out in a deep blonde-golden colour with low steady head and medium body. Aroma of hoos, bread and flowers. Taste of mild hops, grains, bread, cereals, flowers and mild herbs. Easy to drink and refreshing, yet nothing very special.

Bottle from Gardiner & Haskins, Bristol. Clear gold, with a big, white head. Inoffensive beer, with plenty of cereal malts, a touch of hedgerow hop and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

DATE REVIEWED: June 29, 2014... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek pint... OCCASION: prepping for P90X3--starting tomorrow...APPEARANCE: quickly dismissed off-white head; body is translucent copper with subtle, sparse effervescence... AROMA: caramel malts join with softer hops to produce a relatively pleasant promise... PALATE: sessionably sippable; slightly buttery; little or no aftertaste... TASTE: buttery caramel malts, front and center; a bit of blood iron, metallic hops; some fruity esters are involved--not so much complex as a base mixture of beer’s usual elements ... OVERALLL: described as a golden or blond by Rate Beer, I though this played more as an ESB--refreshing like a Kolsch, but more publike in its demeanor and flavor profile--not quite solid enough to demand seconds but not offensive...
