Drinking an older bottle - ’best before 10/10’ ... Golden pale in color; crystal clear. Small, white head. Sweet and crispy aroma with almost an apple hint. Flavor is also crisp with a fairly well balanced hoppy swirl followed by a nice malt swallow. It is very clean tasting and easy to drink.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a dark golden color with a medium creamy head. Good head retention and fair lacing. Aroma of sweet malts, mild hops, with a bit of grassiness. Taste is very grassy with a bit of hops, caramel and a grassy finish. Medium bodied. This reminds me of a warm summer afternoon when I just finished cutting my lawn.

Smell is very sweet. Looks pretty uninteresting - slightly dark yellow, medium white head. Taste is extremely sweet, almost no hops to balance it out. Finishes smooth, goes down easy.

Clear, golden-amber color, medium off-white head. Sweet, fresh aroma. Taste is a nice combination of bitter and sweet. Light-to-medium body, thinnish texture, medium carbonation. An easy-drinking beer.

golden and bland, with a bit of leafy hops. the rep i drank it with described it as a "canadian lager", which in my opinion, is unflattering but accurate.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 ChainGangGuy (3685) - Canton, Georgia, USA - NOV 18, 2010
12 ounce bottle - $1.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a clear, deep-hued yellow body with a tall, foamed, white head. Modest amounts of lacing on the way down.
Smell: Aroma of sliced fresh biscuits rounded with a cereal sweetness and topped with pat or two of unsalted butter and a slice or two of lemon.
Taste: Upfront taste of very lightly toasted biscuits and crisped cereal grains joined with a bit of sweetness and an undertone of buttery diacetyl throughout. Spicy, leafy hops with a zip of lemony citrus. A hint more of the sweetness on the reasonably crisp, lemon-butter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.
Drinkability: It’s a smooth, sufficiently tasty, albeit kinda buttery blonde. Which is exactly what I was expecting from Shipyard.
