The Shipyard Brewing Company's flagship beer, is a full bodied ale, with a hint of sweetness up front, a subtle and distinctive hope taste, and a very clean and traditional finish.

Actually, a really nice looking blond with a good light copper color and large, creamy slightly off white head. The aroma is very much lacking in depth and potency, however. Flavor is very creamy with a good malt accent, but otherwise unremarkable. Overall, not a horrible brew, but certainly not one I'll seek out in the future.

Again, this stuff runs right along side Sea Dog for all you Mainards out there. Its a substitute for Molson Export except if feel much more attached to it since I'm a fellow US citizen. This guy is a keeper. Try it.

Wierd, almost chemical aroma. Big fluffy head. Color is avery pale brown. Light citrus notes in the finish. Better than average but not good.

Golden color. Slightly hoppy aroma.. more reminiscent of a freshly mowed lawn. Slightly hoppy but weak bodied, watery. Not particularly good.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2004 Lightly hazy, golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The nose is of honey, floral notes, mild butterscotch and peach. The flavor produces notes of straw, bitter, herbal hops and mango. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Lengthy, dry finish.

Hops are there in aroma but flatten into a dusty herbal, parsley flavor. I think this is lots more robust than the typical micro but the body is on par. Light medium effervescence, not much body texture -- not a whole lot there.

Rich amber colour. That's about all that's rich, though. Grainy, slightly herbal aroma. Light flavour, mild herbal hops. Sweetish finish that is at once oily and malty. While a cut above such dubious beers as Oland Export, Black Horse, 50 and Molson Golden, it's confused nature (real beer or macro beer?) actually puts it behind Ten Penny, Molson Export and Molson Stock Ale in overall presentation (even if it is more robust in character).

Nice gold color with a thin white head. Malty. Crisp, and low on hops. Very pleasant to drink.

Pours a gold color with a medium thin white head. Flavor and aroma have some floral hops and a good deal of malt. A little light for my taste.

Tap. Light color with full head. Thin, quenching malt flavor, with dominating hops. No yeal flaws, but nothing out of the ordinary.
