COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Shipyard Brewing Company's flagship beer, is a full bodied ale, with a hint of sweetness up front, a subtle and distinctive hope taste, and a very clean and traditional finish.

Crystal clear light gold. Thin white edge head. Light carbonation. Buttery/fruity yeast aroma with some Pils/pale malt freshness. Crisp and sharp with an underlay of toasty sweet malts and spicy hops and a light touch of yeastiness cold. Tastes like a thicker German Helles lager. Medium body. Nicely balaned. Finishes a little more yeasty (warmer), toasty and adequately bitter. Solid BBQ brew.

Slightly earthy. The only thing interesting about it was a fruity almost peachy flavour. Average easy drinking ale.

A nice average ale. There’s nothing really special about it. It’s light on the palate, with a very subtle hops finish.

Hops were most noticeable in aroma and aftertaste. Also a certain woody/meaty presence noticed in the aroma Bit of a tawny tinge to the amber color, but it’s still a little remiscent of lesser brews. Great balance between the initial sweetness and the hoppy aftertaste and great body for an ale. A great American ale.

I liked this brew -- strangely similar to Sweetwater 420. Nice subtle hop presence, thin but welcome body and satisfying crisp finish. A good beer for sitting in the breeze after a long day outside. Made me disappointed I only bought one bottle!

Slightly hoppy, thin, average, yet drinkable brew. I absolutely loved their blue fin stout, so I was expecting big things from this beer...I was disapointed.

above average stuff, I liked drinking lots of it at Sugarloaf.

Very nice, drinkable, smooth Ale. Somewhat hoppy and I like it as an occassional alternative to an IPA.
