Pours a pale, crystal clear gold color with little head. This brew has a buttery smell with floral hints. Pretty good taste with the buttery malts detected in the aroma making a return in the flavor with spicy hop bitterness in the showing up in the end. Tasty brew, could more than a few down in one sitting.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Nearly clear dark amber with a head that drops to a light cover, strips of lace. Taste is caramel malt that grows into a medium fizzed swallow, the malt continuing to grow until light hops enter to keep things in check. A "plain-jane" brew, but awfully easy to drink.

Pours copper with a thin fading white head. Aroma of wheat and metallic "dirt " for lack of a better image. Taste of classic Pilsner with a tang of dry wheat. Dry finish in the mouth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

I waited a month or two before drinking so the oxidation might me my fault. The skunky smell and average taste are all Shipyard’s fault. Too sweet of a start and too bitter a finish. Bad combo.

Had a can on the Amtrak to portland. I haven't seen this anywhere else. Solid flavor and head. High alcohol content. I would drink it again. Maybe on tap somewhere? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured a copper hue with a thin white head which was gone in a hurry......aroma of touch of pine, sweet malt......taste is pine and malt up front with a fair mouthfeel, then it is gone and a thin body and bitterness show up to give it a weak back end. I liked where it started, but not where it ended.

This was a disappointment usually I enjoy ale’s, Too bitter with a lingering after taste, but if that is what they were going for then they got it right.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 1/8/2016. Pours slightly hazy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, light fruitiness, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with well balanced pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, light fruitiness, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of earthy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, cracker, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately sticky, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 5.1%. Overall this is a very good English pale ale style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear copper color with a white head of foam. The aroma is bitter and grainy. The taste is more of the grainy bitterness. Just a touch floral. Medium body Nd medium carbonation.
