Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA Nov 5, 2007 Beer pours a golden amber color with a modest off white creamy head that fades leaving the lace to conceal the glass. Nose has pleasant malt sweetness with a bit of earthiness and oranges, crisp almost acidic, touch of hops. Start is light to moderately sweet, slight hop spicy bite, top is light to medium in feel. Finish has an understated hop presence, acidity stinging, dry as they come.
jodyperkins (61), Mississippi, USA Jul 20, 2008 Poured from bottle - big foamy head and orange color. Nice, but weak, aroma of hops and grain. It’s a strange brew - it has a nice mouthfeel but the flavor seems different every time I take a swallow - ranging from hoppy to fruity to malty. It’s not very consistant.
Hinez57 (107), Clinton, Mississippi, USA Jul 17, 2008 Muted spice hop and malt aroma. Light Orange color. Intresting flavor, but not very distinctive nor wel balanced. There seems to be an odd malt character. Good mouthfeel, but a bit of a carb burn. Overall I’m just not impressed. There’s no distinct character and there are flaws. MrManning (1415), London, Ontario, Canada Jul 1, 2008 Updated: Jul 2, 2008341 ml bottle- Pours a deep rusty gold with a frothy white cap. Nose of sugary grains and fruity malts, some white bread crust and grassy hops. Tastes of slightly biter hops and sweet grains, and some sweet malts. There’s a hint of vanilla and rye too. Finishes sweet, with a slightly metallic and bitter finish. Ok. Thanks mom! Bungalo22 (222), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Jun 22, 2008 Pours from the bottle a wheat looking yellow color. It has a very small head on pour that goes away quickly. It has a malty backbone that carries through though not strongly. I picked up a slight hoppy flavor at the end but not much. troyc (937), A ’moist’ county, Texas, USA Jun 17, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a light amber color with a small amount of white head. Aroma of light grains and maybe some biscuit as well. Taste is slightly grassy, and a tad skunky as well. Light hoppy finish tried to even out the sweet character of the beer. Decent palate for the style. A mediocre beer.
