3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma: light citrus, tropical fruits. Appearance: clear amber, small white head. Taste: felt very bitter initially. Palate: light bitterness continues, hints of fruits again. Overall: not a typical IPA, found it very disappointing. Bottle from Kris Wines, London.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Morrisons. Bought it in the hope it could be quite nice. Upon opening the smell reminded me more of a strong pale lager more than an IPA. When poured the smell is much the same, no citrus, pine or grapefruit at all! The taste is a bit muddled. There is a slightl taste of stewed apple and plum but is also rather grassy with a buttery malt taste and only mildly bitter. This really isn’t a very good beer and I don’t think I will buy again!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Morrisons, Hatch End. Poured a dark golden colour with a light haze and a tight white head. Aroma of citrus hop, boiled sweets and lemon zest. Caramel and gingerbread on the initial flavour with some hay. Finish was cake, dried fruit and brown sugar. Quite sweet for the style, but that may be expected for the hop type.

Bottle. Hazy Amber in colour. Hoppy; grassy and floral hops. Fruity; slight citrus lemon and grapefruit, hint of apple? Malty; biscuity malts, caramel. Sweet malty with some grassy hops. Dry finish. Bit hop-anaemic for an American IPA. Drinkable.
