What the hell is this
Bought from morrisons thinking it was an American craft pale ale
Tasted like a poor Newcastle brown ale, which now is foul
Marstons/coors please stop jumping on the bandwagon
It says import on the bottle
Where is it imported from? Derbyshire?
Rubbish con mislabelling cheat beer
Poor poor poor

Interesting drink in terms of James brewdogs debate about craft beer. This claims to be craft ! Bought from morrisons, lovely golden colour, and then the most unpleasant mouthfull I think Iíve ever had. Pure "pour" drain cleaner! Donít think that cheap equals good value. Terrible beer.

355ml bottle from Morrisons I think. Has an unusual taste for an IPA. Slightly over-sweet, syrupy quality with a bizarre cereal maltiness. Kinda liked it, in a way, but doubt Iíd choose it again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark blond colour. Aroma has a hint of green apple. Initial fruity taste. Finish is pleasantly dry. Not a typical IPA but a pleasant, dry drink with a bit more to offer than a lager or pilsener.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A: Pale amber, hazy, small tanned head, decent lacing. S: Apple, grapefruit, citrus. T: Fruity, gummi bears, high bitterness but just about stays balanced, earthy finish points to fuggles hop. M: Smooth, initial high carbonation faded, thick body. O: Maybe a few too many IBUs, OK but slightly lacking what a really good beer needs.

12oz bottle (best by Oct 2013) - pours cloudy amber with offwhite head and modest lacing. Nose is caramel, floral and a tad citrusy. Not my idea of an IPA, hops-wise. Mildly sweet with moderate bitterness for the style. light bodied.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle bought from Morrisons Bilston. Bronze with a small head. Slightly metalic and hardly any trace of hops. The bottle said that it was imported by Marstons which must mean something. Just shows that not all American IPAís are stunning or even reasonably good. What a dissapointement.

One of the earthier, more malt backed varities of American IPAs you can buy. Subtleness isnít something youíd expect from an American beer, but this approaches it.
