Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is creamy caramel with fruity hops. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth creamy sweet citrus palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Super refreshing and flavour packed.

355ml bottle ftom Tesco - Hazy amber body, thin white froth. Nose is plummy and little else, the expected fruity sweetness doesn’t come in the taste, and it comes across as being an average cheap IPA at best.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a fluffy foam. Aromas are biscuit and apple with floral notes and leafy hedgerow. Green with lemon. Flavours are caramel with lemony yeast and brown sugar. Herbal and sweet with light pithy grapefruit. Dry and lightly green and minty on the finish. OK.

355ml bottle from Morrisons. Small white head, good lacing. Clear amber body. Nose virtually non-existent. Flavour of grassy hops then a weird peppery aftertaste. Mouthfeel is quite harsh, pretty high carbonation. Not good.

Bottle from Tesco, Longton. Pours amber with froth head. Very dry, peppery IPA, as you work down it becomes more refreshing. It’s average at best.

BlackHaddock (3183) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - NOV 26, 2013
355ml Bottle: poured into a stemmed ’Yuengling’ badged glass at home on 16th Nov 2013. Golden amber body with a slight haze, on top a white covering of tight bubbles. The nose was both citrus hoppy and mildly sweet molasses: this mixture carried on into the taste, sweeter than I expected from a US brewed IPA (with Fuggles). I enjoyed it but not sure it is ’true to style’. Medium bodied, the alcohol hidden nicely and overall a fine, easy to drink IPA.

Bottle from Tesco drunk at home. Clear amber thin white head. Toffee on the aroma. Not much of an ipa to be honest. Some malt some harsh hop on finish . East coast ipa. It’s ok. Bit empty in the mouth.
