This light copper single hop India Pale Ale is brewed only with the Fuggles hops. It has a smooth, dry, and crisp flavor with floral aroma and apple plum palate.

33cl bottle from Bargain beers. Thick creamy white head. Hazy golden amber pour. Slight bitterness. Too close to the best before date I think, October 14. Not a great IPA, more of a bitter.

Nice amber golden colour. Pours a small white head which doesn't hang around long. Quite a dense grassy/floral aroma with a hoppy kick. At first taste you get a nice grass and fruity taste with a more dark lingering hops aftertaste. After that just a dark hoppy taste which leaves it almost bland if that makes sense. Still not too bad.

Pours hark golden with white head. Grassy floral citrus head. Light body with tart bitter fuggle hop bitterness. '90s style beer, well crafted for what it is. A beer hipped with only wan type of hops is not going hi have the complexity or tropical fruitiness that modern IPAs will have. I enjoyed this beer as an education for my palette.

Clear copper color with white head. Caramel malt and floral aromas. Dry malt start with a floral, earthy hoppy finish.

330ml Bottle. Its aroma is very faint and of grassy malts. It pours a light amber topped with a thin medium laced white head. Its taste is watery grass followed by biscuity malts and a dry bitter finish. TBH this tastes of a mass market brewers attempt at an IPA rather than a decnt citrus inspired craft beer. To market it as fuggles IPA is an insult as that is what it needs more of - a hoppy taste.

Pours a pale colour, floral and dry on the palate, needs more hops in my opinion

Seems quite average, unfortunately. Pours dark orange, almost brown, with a very thin white head. Normal grassy IPA aromas. Rather malty and bland in taste for an IPA, with few bitters.

Still an above average beer. However, being an American IPA, I was hoping for a more ballsy flavour. Maybe ’ballsy’ is the wrong adjective to use here.

Bottle courtesy of Button. Who pays about a quid for it. And honestly, he’s paying over the odds...

Bottle. First off, if your on RateBeer I presume you like good beer so I have to say straight off the bat... do not buy this beer... I always try to find something positive to say about beers but to be honest there is not a lot to say about this one, its not horrible but its bit bland and remarkably tasteless, nothing really going on, bit of a chore to finish. Its possibly because its the light/doesn’t really taste of much English session pale ale that’s been done to death over here. I’m seeing so many of these US brewers make the mistake of exporting the English style ales for their headline UK beer; it fails to capitalise on the hunger for US craft beer and it just makes it another standard pale ale on the domestic market. Not very impressed with this beer however it was cheap and easily available - I wont do this one again but I will give Shipyard another chance.
