2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
As a somewhat mainstream craft beer Shipyard IPA is OK. The pour creates a small white head. The appearance is lighter in nature than many IPAs. It also has a light haze to it. The aroma has hints of citrus. The taste is an immedaite hop sensation that quickly dissapates. The actual flavor is lacking and I really didnít detect much of any unique flavor. The aftertaste is a little bitter that subsides after 10 - 15 seconds. I buy an occasional 6 pack when Iím somewhere I cannot get a better IPA.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Drank from a pint glass, poured from a twelve ounce bottle. Not loving the aromas from this brew, (Iím not an IPA guy, but love me some Fuggles!) Would have thought "Malted Wheat" would have made this brew a bit more hazy. But I donít think I would consider this an IPA, not hoppy enough, brewed 3 months ago, but the fuggles shouldnít have died out that quickly, needs some more hop oomph to be an IPA. All in all, not a bad brew.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice orangish color. Aroma is grassy hops. Flavor of a classic pale, big grassy hop flavor.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear veiled amber color. Creamy beige 1.5 finger head lasting around 10 minutes. Strong legs with some powerful activity.
Pleasant aromas and flavors of fruits, citrus, grains, toffee, floral and herbal spices. Strong apple taste being more sweet than sour, with a earthy feel. Crisp, well intensified and good flavors.
Creamy medium body with nice carbonation. Short and faint finish ending with a bitter smoky clove like mouth feel.
Overall : Good freshness and pleasant flavors, but slightly thin and a faint finish. Accessible being a sweet IPA, not too spicy and quite clean.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Decent floral aroma and an average at best flavor. More English leaning than I generally like in the style, moderately bitter finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Average IPA at best. Super malty sweet and no hop character. Had a bottle pour at home. More like a Linie berry Weiss. This brewery blows dick

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 1/2/2016. Pours slightly hazy orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, wood, plum, pear, apple, light pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of earthy hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, wood, plum, pear, apple, light pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of piney/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange peel, wood, pepper, pine, plum, pear, apple, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/grassy hop earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of earthy hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish from bitterness. Some mild but acceptable levels of diacetyl present in the aromas and flavors. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice English IPA style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of earthy hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. This was a bit fruitier than Iíd prefer, but was not horribly off balance either. A nicely enjoyable offering.
