mustangjoe (168), redondo beach, California, USA Apr 26, 2008 Definitely not the same as most other IPA’s. The hops are not overwhelming at all. Not a bad beer overall, but just not a great IPA.
bretupdegraff (96), Fishers, Indiana, USA Oct 7, 2008 cloudy golden pour - massive and very creamy head - nice lacing
Aroma is stale, weak, slight hop
Flavor is much nicer - fruity hop not bitter
very good mouthfeel with lots of carbonation
I really like this brew!
Cheers.
troyc (971), Lubbock, Texas, USA Oct 3, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a dark amber color with a decent sized white head. Aroma of light crisp hops and bready malts. Taste includes a lot of unexpected maltiness. Bitter and sour finish. So-so body and high carbonation. Not that great. jetzler (591), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle Pours a copper color with a off white head, light aroma some pine but quite light. Some malts add a touch of sweetness initially but if finishes dry. Nothing big reminds me more of an english IPA than an American. Not bad but not great either. Soonah (518), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Sep 30, 2008 Poured a pale copper color with a fairly short white head. Minimal lacing. The aroma was spicy, piney hops with some floral notes. The flavor was light malt with pine and floral hops dominated. Some pepper in there too. The mouthfeel was clean and the finish was expectedly dry. FishManLA (181), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Sep 28, 2008 Fairly typical American IPA, and that’s a good thing. Color is orange/amber with a fairly large foamy tan head and nice lacing. Nose of fresh baked bread. Flavor is archtypically hoppy-bitter and somewhat tart. Finish is the typical IPA hoppy/bitter with lacings of astringency.
