3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 sneezey (124) - Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA - SEP 29, 2007A bit malty for an IPA, and not the kind of level of hops you’d expect. Thicker and stronger in everything *except* the hops are light as mentioned. Not a bad beer, just not really an IPA. More of a reasonable golden ale.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TATE (212) - Lubec, Maine, USA - JUN 8, 2013
On tap at The Wharf. Pours amber with thick head. Floral aroma. All of Shipyard’s stuff has a big diacetyl taste which I used to enjoy but not anymore. This is balanced though with the hops so it goes down well. This is not an in your face IPA which I like, a little more mellow than the west coast stuff.

Weird herbal smell that goes with apple, cardboard, and maybe spice notes, maybe fish guts. Taste is very malt forward with a bit of hop bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Not my thing at all.

I think this was a unique light take on an IPA. Kindof wish there were more more like this. Light mouthfeel, easy drinking with a herbal hop kick. Good IPA for summer!

Pours between a gold and copper with a small to medium white head. The aroma is kind of unique. It’s a sharp herb smell that is almost pungent. The taste is quite surprising. It has a faint bitter and medium sweetness. This is not at all what I expect from an IPA, but it’s not unwelcome. The body is light to medium with a thin, sticky texture and a slight bitter finish. It’s somewhat of a unique IPA, but not altogether impressive. It’s not something I would seek out, but I would order one if I found myself in Portland, ME
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 craig220 (290) - Crofton, Maryland, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Poured a somewhat cloudy golden yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is tobacco, floral, caramel, metallic, with a hint of citrus. Taste is metallic, honey, floral, with a salty and bittersweet finish. A bit odd.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 niftyplace (12) - - MAY 8, 2013
Very pleasant and mild summer beer. Clean mildly floral/spicy aroma that pours a med/dark amber and produces a nice head. More like the milder English ales with a malty taste and only slightly bitter hop taste. Probably be a good go-to cold beer after mowing a couple acres of grass.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 drsordr (256) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - APR 25, 2013
Bottle pour turbid yellow with amber hues. Nose of dank hop, slight floral, and some malt. Initial taste all buttering hop, almost no flavoring hop. Strong malt backbone and some bitter finish, slightly metallic.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BroSpud (1383) - , Massachusetts, USA - APR 23, 2013
12oz screwtop bottle. Pours hazy golden amber with a white head. An OK IPA closer in style to an english version than my preferred west coast american variety. A bit boring with a little more malt and a little less hops than I like but perfectly drinkable.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 dandeman (230) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - APR 22, 2013

Aroma: Hoppy nose with a bit of smoke.
Appearance: Slightly hazy blond with creamy and long lasting head.
Taste: Attack is full hop and bitterness. All cereal with strong bitterness. A real IPA
