Pours a typical clear golden yellow with a thick eggshell head. Melon aroma reaches the nose first, rather sweet, while malt sneaks in upon a closer approach. Flavor blends watermelon and malty notes for a serviceable if not remarkable taste. Mouthfeel is on the thin side and not very fizzy. Not so hot, but could ease thirst.

bottle. Pale golden with one finger head. This is a simple, but decent beer. Light body with moderate watermelon and light hops. Watermelon beers are hard to get right. This one seems to get it right.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 2/12/2016. Pours slightly hazy deep golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that linger. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big watermelon, strawberry, wheat, cracker, light honey, and light herbal hops. Okay aromas with big watermelon and light malt/hop notes; with decent strength. Taste of watermelon, strawberry, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and light pepper. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of watermelon, strawberry, wheat, cracker, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance and solid robustness of watermelon, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and clean finish that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.4%. Overall this was a very solid fruit beer. All around good balance and solid robustness of watermelon, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

Bottle around the pool on father’s day. Pours a relatively clear gold with a thin white head. Watermelon bubblegum on the nose. Medium bodied, more bubblegum, fake melon. Bubblegum, melon. Very sweet and fake, but not the worst thing on a hot day at the pool.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2015 Bottle from Harvest Market, Bedford, NH. Aroma is fruity overall--yes watermelon but not exclusively so. Appearance is clear yellow with minimal head and no lacing. Taste is pleasant watermelon/fruit flavor--a measured amount, enough to have good flavor but not so much as to be overly sweet. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and soft carbonation. Overall, a nice tasting sweet refreshment that goes well in summer at a picnic or barbecue.

Distinct watermelon aroma. Clear golden color with a modest one inch head to start and fades to a light coating. Light taste of malt with crisp finish of watermelon. Light bodied and refreshing. Great for warm weather months.

Pours amber with a finger of white foam that lingers a while. Sparse lacing. Nose is watermelon candy - Jolly Ranchers. Taste is much the same, although not as sweet as I expected. Not bad.
